Before letting this power up any of my precious tools, the first thing I did was open the enclosure to make sure this wouldn't cause any harm. I'm satisfied with the basic design. It is a full PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) speed control with a 3kHz carrier frequency. The PWM clock signal drives a 40-amp (yes, 40 amp!) Triac which effectively reduces the voltage to the tool. The Triac is mounted to a respectable-sized aluminum heat sink. The circuit is very basic, but functional.Because of the way the circuit is designed, it relies on the load (tool) to operate the clock circuits. For this reason, there is no outward effect of turning the speed dial when the power tool is not being powered.Overall it is a fairly cheap product, but likewise, it is also very inexpensive.

I like it. It works as I expect. Only a little bad, the speed dial is not working at the black section(at lowest section)
