This part was the same part number I needed and stated it would for my 06 Silverado. However I have to adjust it because my truck only has two wires and the piece did not fit into the holes because the tabs were way off so I had to break a tab off and then use tape to hold it in. Not too happy but taking a trip and needed to fix the light.

Had to force the socket in, gently. The three locking parts on the socket align with the light cover hole, but they don't easily fit/mount. Gently pushing the socket in made it fit, ultimately. But when you first get it you will undoubtedly have a "hey, this socket doesn't fit " moment. Be patient. You can gently coerce it in. Nothing will break. Also, No instructions for connecting wires included, so i suggest you do one wire at a time.1. Align the socket to be parallel with the other two sockets (turning signal, reverse signal). You will see they all face one direction when attached to the tail light cover.2. Once you line it up (but before attaching socket!), you can then cut one line (start far left) from the old socket and connect it to the new line (far left line) on the new socket. Then work your way to the right, doing only one line at a time.Needed: Screw driver, Crimping tool, electrical tapeJob time: 10 minutes max.

this isn't a direct fit for my Silverado 2001. I was in a pinch and I was able to make it work.

Fit my 2007 chevy Silverado. You have to angle the tabs in on one side but goes in without any trimming. Had break lights working in less than ten min. Auto place wanted 39.00 dollars for the same thing. Just make sure you trace the wires from the old socket. All wires on new one are black and no instructions so make sure you cut one wire at a time. Very simple fix.

Glad I could find this here instead of having to take my vehicle to the shop to get it repaired. This part worked perfectly and saved me time and money.
