My original differential cover was rusty and flaking off after 244,000 miles. I don’t need that failing at an inconvenient time, so off with the old on with the new! Works great

Mine rusted through, but even if it didn't it's nice to not have to clean the old gasket off and just replace it. Bolted right up nice. Does not come with a gasket so buy one of those too.

Box wasn't obviously to blame for broken magnet, seems like it was possibly made like that. I tossed the smaller piece, used the cover. FYI Didn't come with gasket

Cheap metal . But better than my 25 ye old cover. Just needed a quick cheap replacement to get by. But can see this will rust way faster than oem but quarter the price

Good quality, unfortunately I bought the wrong size (too many bolt holes) and had to get one from the auto parts store. The one from the auto parts was same brand but not painted and had a plug in the back which needs to be sealed.

Fit my 2005 Silverado 1500HD no problem. Saved a ton buying this for when I had my rear diff. serviced, as the cover looked terrible, and would have been more to replace on the spot. So far so good.

This part was confirmed to be a replacement for the OE part on my 2003 Silverado 2500HD diesel. Although it was the same size it did not have a fill plug, rendering it useless since there was no way to add fluids back in to the differential. Had to return it.

Not that much to say: it's a cover. It has a magnet on the inside and comes with a gasket as pictured. Seems sturdy enough. On most models, the filler plug is located on the right side near the front of the differential case. It has a square driver notch that fits the end of a 3/8" ratchet. This cover does not have a plug.Torque specs from the 1994 manual:-Cover plate bolts: 20 lbs. ft.-Filler plug: 18 lbs. ft.Vehicle: 1994 K2500 Suburban9.5" RG 4:10 rear axle (RPOs NA4, GT5, G80)
