It was the perfect part I needed to replace the brittle H7 bulb wire connector on my 2007 Saab 9-5. Over time the heat from the engine causes plastic parts to get brittle. This connector was heavier duty than the original! Other than fighting the tight space to work it was a breeze to change. I clipped the original blade connectors down so they would fit inside a crimping type wire connector. Then after stripping a 1/4" off the new wires I placed the wires into the connectors and crimped them. Done!

My headlights were going out like flies, seems every week my car was winking at me. The old connectors had gotten thin and weak from corrosion and were not making a proper connection. These took care of this problem.

Used it to replace a headlight connector on a motorcycle. Found out I can't solder to save my life, but a twist and some heatshrink did the job (and still is)

TL;WR (won't read)-Does NOT fit your headlight bulb socket's prongs if applicable.-WILL fit JUST your headlight bulb's prongs.-Get an OEM harness piece if you want it to fit properly.-WILL fit LED harness (I use Hikari).-Works as is, no problem. Make sure to use connectors and seal them from elements (weather).I'll take some pictures of it when I get a chance..:First Gen Mazda3 (Non-HID) STOCK HEADLIGHT not approved because you need the bulb socket for it to fit properly:..:First Gen Mazda3 (Non-HID) LED bulb approved:.---I made a mistake buying an aftermarket (stock design, not the angel eye stuff) headlight for my Mazda3 (first gen, non-HID). The mistake was that the headlight retainer clip on both lights were different, not only from each other, but from the stock retainer clip design on the projector. Ya'll thought clipping the bulbs were bad on the stock headlamp? LOL. That sh** was impossible without removing the clip screws and screwing it OVER the headlight socket. Ugh.Anyway, because one light's retainer was completely wrong, a few months later, my socket kept getting moved around and that caused it to slightly loosen from the bulb. That led the socket to start a little lovely fire. The stock low beam harness suffered as well and not only did it burn and not work but the wires snapped. I was left with two options 1) go to a pick and pull yard and cut a stock one (which I couldn't do because of me being busy and the fact that i'm hours away from one/two states away). So I went with 2) buy this. (Late November 2019)So I found this at a few places (Amazon, Autozone..and somewhere else) but I could have gotten it quicker here. See the headlight socket that they recommend? I purchased one too because Mazda3's need those and again, mine was completely destroyed by it's own fire.Easy, strip the wires, solder (or twist and crimp connectors then tape like I did because I live in an apartment building and have no solder iron...w/e) and you're done. I plugged my headlight bulb directly into it just to make sure it worked. Did it work? YES! But WAIT...Remember that headlight bulb socket I spoke about? This will NOT fit the BULB SOCKET! The socket's connectors are too wide for this. Not anything wrong with the socket, just wrong with THIS piece. Why was it made the way it is? I don't know. Maybe many cars don't come with sockets? Either way, if your car has bulb SOCKETS, it will NOT fit. It WILL however fit the bulb itself. So I rolled around like that and made a retaining area so the bulb can at least stay in place until I figured out what I was going to do next (took the LED route). Using LED bulbs, though, you can plug directly into this with no problems. So yeah.No way would I have known this was the case, but I needed a quick fix because I wasn't trying to get tickets for one headlight.

Product clearly says H7 socket which I should have realized wouldn't fit the adapter on my 2008 Mazda3. But amazon recommended the adapter and the socket as products frequently sold together so I though it would fit. I ended up removing the internal sockets and just plugging them directly into the adapter so the product works but not exactly how it was designed.

I bought this thinking I could use it for the low-beam headlamp on my 2005 Mazda 3, because the low-beam bulb in my car is an H7 bulb.HOWEVER, the bulb plugs into an adapter which turns the H7 prongs into something else ( It's about 1/4" wider than the spacing for the H7 bulb)I searched high and low - I even called the manufacturer (Dorman) and they said "Oh yeah, This isn't what you need... and we don't make what you're looking for."Long story short: If you need to plug this DIRECTLY into an H7 bulb, I am sure it will work for you... But FIRST, look closely at your setup. If your H7 bulb plugs into some kind of adapter, which THEN plugs into this socket, it's not going to work.Thankfully, Amazon accepted the return without any issue and even covered the return shipping.

I purchased this light socket to fit a 2003 Nissan 350 headlight wiring harness in order to install high intensity, HID headlights instead of the OEM Halogen bulbs that were too hot etc. It fit the male pins that I matched to them perfectly! Just look at the sizes of the male spades and match this to the female openings here and as long as they match up, it's simple from there on. I spliced the old wiring harness wiring to this by using a bull-nose, "squeeze-pinch" type connector. It was very easy and I highly recommend.
