I purchased one of these switches around 13 years ago, to replace a failed OEM part on a 1999 F150. I still have the truck and the switch still functions perfectly. More recently, I installed one in a 2004 F350, it was a perfect fit took 5 minutes to install. Quality looks good.

Simple fix / easy to install, fixed mirrors not working immediately. I purchased inexpensive trim removal tools to help remove the trim without damaging it. It literally took a couple minutes to repopulate the trim off and swap this out.

I LOVE Dorman products.I've always had excellent experiences with Dorman products. And this switch kept that ball rolling!AND my mirrors moving...Super easy to install. A quick pry up on the front of the armrest pad where the switch lives and the entire pad popped off. Depress the release button on the electrical connector and the connector pulled away with no problem. Then with a press on the switch release tab and the switch popped out with a little nudge. It is a very tight fit.I note that in some reviews, the reviewers state their switches were too tight and some even said they needed to trim the switch a bit. NOT in my case. The switch IS a very tight fit, but that is by design. FORD wanted to ensure the switch did not move around or jiggle. I found it no problem to push the switch into place until I heard the locking tab 'Click'. I had to push pretty solidly but nothing extreme at all. Then, the electrical connector clicked into place with a simple push. The switch was replaced that easy. I put the back of the armrest into place and then pressed down on the front of it and it locked firmly back into place. And I was DONE!Switch performs like factory new! And it looks great! NO more faded, nasty broken switch...

My power mirrors had not worked for over three years on my 2003 F150. The overhead digital readout for temperature and direction had also quit. I took it to a mechanic who told me that this model was bad for loosing ground and that was the problem. I was told I would cost more than it was worth to trace the loose ground. I then done some research on line and discovered that the contacts in this model often corroded and caused problems with the switches I proceeded to take out the switches and discovered that the power mirror switch was indeed corroded and also the passenger window switch on the drivers side. After cleaning the window switch the window worked beautifully but I never managed to get the mirror switch clean. Ordered this one which came arrived in two days. Five minutes after receiving it I had my mirrors working. I also discovered that there are three small diodes in the digital temp read out that loose their solder due to the extreme temp where it is mounted. Took it out, found the problem, re-soldered and now it works. I noticed that some have said to pry this switch out. DON'T DO IT. The arm rest section where the switches are mounted comes out very easily by lifting up at the front and slipping it forward. At that point you can then see how the switches are removed by compressing the clips inside. A very quick and inexpensive fix.
