Exact fit for my 2004 Corolla S, (plug n play). This is the solenoid valve that is mounted on top of the charcoal canister (black box with several hoses attached) next to gas tank. I just unplugged the old one and plugged this one in, 1 electrical plug and 2 vacuum hoses. I didn't even bother to remove the old unit in fear of causing more issues when I broke off the rusted screws holding it on. The hoses have a good grip and I don't think it's going to come loose I cleared the only error code, P0446 , and drove until the obd monitors passed and then passed NYS inspection. no problems.

As I recall from some time back I ordered this selenoid and it still works after the install. No light for emmissions is on. Now that I said that watch out.

I had a check engine light and a gas smell at the rear of the car by the left rear wheel. This vent valve fixed it! I think it was PO042

I installed this Dorman 911-629 vent solenoid on my 2003 Corolla. I had a check engine light with a P0446. I already had put a used charcoal canister on so I did a solenoid test with a car battery. The old solenoid did make a switch noise but it sounded to faint. I decided to buy this solenoid and swap it. What a difference when the solenoid works. My Check engine light turned off.

If you are ordering this for your 3.0 Liter V6 Toyota Solara, Camry, ETC....this is not the correct part even though Amazon, Rock Auto, Advance Auto and several other auto parts store will have this part listed as the correct part. The valves on this part both go in the same direction. The part you need they go in opposing directions. The correct part number is 9091012264 or Dorman 911-601. Other than that this part looks well made. If you are ordering this part for a Corolla Or a Matrix, you in fact have the correct part.
