About this item

  • Cost-effective solution - this microswitch replaces the worn-out original without having to replace the shifter assembly
  • Prevents further damage - delaying this replacement will cause the instrument cluster to remain on at all times and weaken the battery
  • Easy to install - requires splicing into original harness with included connectors
  • Quality tested - has undergone performance testing to ensure reliability
  • Ensure fit - to make sure this part fits your exact vehicle, input your make, model and trim level into the garage tool

Park indicator no longer working? The switch that activates it wears with repeated use, causing battery drain when the instrument cluster fails to go into its sleep mode. This microswitch replaces the original without changing the shifter assembly. This part is compatible with the following vehicles. Before purchasing, enter your vehicle trim in the garage tool to confirm fitment. - [Ford Edge: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014] - [Ford Explorer: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015] - [Lincoln MKX: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015]

Terrible all pictures show metal clip but doesn’t come with one. You have to use old one which is most the time the problem. Clip get weak & you don’t get a new one. Stupid!!!

The park switch was a perfict match for our Ford Explorer.1 hour later the problem was fixed and saved me $1,200.00 dollars. If you have any problems, do a search on YouTube.Make sure you have some prying tools to pop the center council apart to get at the switch inside.

The metal chip that operators the switch broke off during installation. This is very poorly made.

Fixed the issue for sure. Common error message of vehicle not being in park. Installed in a 2013 Lincoln MK-X. Takes longer to take the dash and center consul apart then it does to replace the switch very easy plug install.

Item was a direct fit replacement but not the same quality. Dorman uses a sub par design of the paddle that is poorly attached. The paddle detached at the back. Ford uses a better design with the paddle pivot point actually embedded in to back of the switch instead of just clamped on to the outside.Save money, do the job right with oem parts on this job.

It comes with instructions but there are multiple YouTube videos as well. The part is small so take your time and be careful not to break any thing. It probably took me about 30 minutes and it is much cheaper than having to replace the entire shifter assembly. Ford dealership doesn’t sell this switch so I’m glad I found this one.

Easy to follow instructions and fits like OEM. Make sure you watch a video on how to remove the cover and do not force anything. Should pop in easily without much pressure.
