These work great. I had an old pair of tin snips and these cut way straighter and smoother.

I don't have a lot of use for tin snips and I don't use them very often. But every now and then I have a craft project or garden project that requires them and these are perfect for that. They're bulky and feel well-made. I'm sure I'm going to be using these for a long time.

These are heavy and string. Great for cutting chicken wire.

I haven't used these a lot yet but did try a cut of some sheet metal and they make a nice straight cut with little effort. The feel is good and they seem to be quite heavy duty.As for the price I'm seeing similar options for a few bucks less, so perhaps a bit high in relation to the competition.

i think i've used that headline before. slightly different reasons, though. i believe the last snips i had were for garden shears, fortified scissors for the gardening needs. here's hoping that you won't need these tin snips for gardening needs, but should you be in need of the smaller version of full-fledged bolt cutters (admittedly also with less torque and sheer weight of the steel arms), this will suffice. things these cutters are good at: cutting fence links, possibly cutting cable locks (minus the fact that you don't get great leverage versus a bolt cutter, because these are more scissor-like), lighter duty metals. because it's important to have a pair for when you need them. the reinforced rubber handle is also nice to avoid contact with sharp metallic edges. these don't lock per se but do seem to maintain their closure, which is a plus. 5 stars for doing everything they say they'll do, and well.
