I understand that this guitar is made for both guitar hero games with the five buttons and the six buttons both being an option on it, but the original five buttons are placed very low on the neck of the guitar, which makes it kind of weird for an adult person to play with it. It forces me to have my arm at a off angle and it tires me out a little bit too often. Besides that, it works fantastic. The dongle connects immediately and the buttons and strum button are flawless. The whammy bar is not compatible with guitar clone but it is compatible with fortnite. There is no star power lift your guitar thing so I don't really use star power. That is one of the negative drawbacks besides the neck of the guitar with the weird button placement. Other than that, this guitar is absolutely fun

Simply does not work at all. Cannot be mapped. Is not recognized by any game tested on pc (Windows 10) ps3, and ps4. Unfortunately I cannot speak to the quality of the controller because it doesn't actually work, in my tests. It's possible that I just got a lemon but I wouldn't gamble $100 on it to find out.

Recently on a trip my son and I were playing Guitar Hero in the arcade which seems to be gaining a lot of popularity lately. We had a great time and it was fun to play the game with him and see him getting better at it every time we played. It was also amazing to see how it came back to me so easily (I don't play guitar, but spent may hours on the Wii back in the day mastering Cliff's of Dover). I have been meaning to dig out my old Wii stuff and guitars from the back of the basement, but when I saw this I figured we would give it a shot on the PC and his consoles. We had no luck with the consoles but did finally figure out how to use it somewhat with the PC. While it does work, it doesn't seem to be as good of quality as the arcade versions (not surprising) but also compared to my old Wii versions. Those seemed to work flawlessly and this one seems kid of hit or miss. If anything it lit a fire in me to go hunting for those old controllers so we can have some fun.

I used to be addicted to Guitar Hero and Rock Band, but I sold off all of that stuff back in the day has my career just doesn't give me free time to play games. I purchased a PS 5 when it first came out and only used it three times.Today, games require so much learning, devotion, and time to play. Those types of games don't appeal to me, but the ones which I can play for 15 or 20 minutes a week are about all I can do, if even that much.I grew to miss my Guitar Hero and RockBand games, and saw that some of them are available on the PS4 / PS5, and when this guitar came up saying it works with the PS4, I jumped on it.Then it arrived. And I wasted hours trying to get this thing to pair to my PS5, but it just didn't work. After more digging I realized that despite saying it's "for ps4", in the instructions (if you can call it that) and it says it is NOT compatible.What a waste of time. I would avoid.

I got this mainly for Fortnite Festival on PC, and it works just fine. I've noticed a few prior buyers who complained that this doesn't work for PC and that game specifically. I'm here to confirm that it most certainly does. You just need to make sure the drivers install correctly when you plug in the USB dongle. I did have to adjust the key bindings to make sure everything lined up properly, but once that was sorted, it worked perfectly. I don’t have a PS3 or PS4, so I can’t speak for those, but for PC, it does the job. It’s a bit pricey, but there aren’t many options for this type of game, so it’s worth it if you’re into rhythm gaming. Five stars from me.

Product description says it's compatible with RockBand 4 and PS4. Nope. User manual clearly states it's only compatible with Guitar Hero Live on PS4. I should have not been cheap and just started with the Riffmaster.... it's too close to Christmas for this.
