Great sound. nice heavy bell. But the bell is actually 1in in height not 1.5 as advertised. too small for what i need them for but i will still use them due to great sound.

Once upon a time I was a bell collector. For my 2023 holiday card I decided to feature drawings of three different kinds of bells used on sleighs. From among the bells in my collection I located two of the three but the third could not be found. Specifically, the missing bell is a type of crotal known as a petal bell. Mine was an antique, purchased about 50 years ago for a few dollars. Similar bells cost about $30 today. The brass sleigh bells available through Amazon are not quite as well crafted as my “lost” bell, but they are appropriately robust, include a petal design and produce a suitable jingling sound when shaken. Each has a “loop” at the end so that they can be sewn onto a strap or tied to a ribbon to make a string of festive noisemakers.

I bought these to use as knee bells for my Native American Dance Regalia. They are just as loud and "bright toned" as antique bells I've used in the past and these will serve me for years to come and God willing for many more as my eldest Grandson uses them when he dances at PowWows and Native American events. I highly recommend these bells You will not be disappointed.

If you're looking for something that give a vintage sleigh bell look and actually SOUNDS like a sleigh bell (instead of a rattle), these are perfect for you. These come loose, of course, so they are for the crafter/DIYer, though obviously a simple puiece of ribbon et voila! A beautful ornament. These have a very vintage look, though they are polished bright. And unlike so many bells you can buy on the cheap, they actually SOUND like a sleigh bell, with a lovely, clear, and LOUD jingle instead of a wretched rattle or clank.

Cannot believe the quality of these compared to the cheap "Jingle Bells". Yes these are quite a bit more, but if quality and a bright LOUD sound is what is wanted, get them. Used in my son's Boy Scout dance costume and you can hear him well before and over the others. And it won't crush if kneel on it or drop it.
