Summers in Central Texas can get pretty intense, and while I rely on a fan and AC to stay cool, my wife isn't a fan of fans – she only turns on the AC when it gets really hot. So, I’d been thinking about getting a small portable cooler that I could use on my side of the bed and in my home office when needed. This evaporative cooler caught my eye because it looks like a regular tower fan but with a cleaner, more modern design. At 40 inches tall, it has a sleek presence without being bulky, and the bladeless design is a nice safety feature. It’s lightweight and easy to move around, and the oscillation helps spread the airflow across a larger area. The removable water tank makes refilling and cleaning simple, and it comes with two reusable ice packs for an extra cooling boost. There are four fan speeds plus a sleep mode, giving some flexibility, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it is—even at the highest setting. It’s not completely silent, but at the advertised 35dB, it’s quieter than most tower fans. The unit has a display showing the current settings, and the remote control is handy, though I wish the buttons were backlit – it’s hard to use in the dark. You can also set a timer in one-hour increments up to seven hours. As for performance, it works well in dry heat. It's not a substitute for AC in humid conditions, but it does provide noticeable cooling. Since it works by evaporating water, it slightly increases humidity, which is actually a plus in our bedroom for a more comfortable sleeping environment.Overall, we are happy with this cooler. It’s an efficient, stylish way to stay cool and has been a great addition to our bedroom.

This is a quality fan made of nice materials. The white is not off-white, it's a nice cool white that looks pretty good up against the black accents. I was really pleasantly surprised at the overall appearance and the way the touch buttons feel/operate. It feels like a 'name-brand' (whatever that means) in terms of fit, finish, and use. It's packaged well and comes with documentation at the level of major brands. I had not heard of Dreo before but I will definitely consider the brand when looking at fans or other similar products; this product could easily be sold at a retail store alongside more well-known brands. There are four settings, the first of which is very nice and quiet. On four it's loud but it also blows really hard. For a given sound level, the airflow really was excellent. I also appreciate the night mode that turns the control panel light off, the decent remote, and a consistent, smooth oscillating mechanism. As for the evaporative cooling function, it obviously does not defy the laws of physics (there is only so much an evaporative cooler can do) but it works very well and the pump is quiet; I did not hear any gurgling or annoying sounds when It was turned on.The airflow does feel pleasant when you're in front of it and it humidified my garage pretty quickly. The tank only drained about 1/8 of the way over about an hour (maybe a bit more) so capacity seems to be a non-issue. If your goal is to humidify a dry space, this is absolutely a good solution and it looks good while doing it. For cooling it's best to pull in fresh dry air...just the way it is with evaporative coolers.I have one complaint; the way the pump clips into the bottom of the water tank. This means it's not really realistic to take the water tank to the faucet and fill it up....because then when you get back to the fan, you have to shove your hand in the tank to clip the pump back in the bottom before you reinstall it (spilling water if it's full) - and then you're fiddling with the pump hose and wire to boot (so the tank will slide all the way back in - it can get behind the tank). No - the way to do this is to just bring water in a jug/pitcher and fill it up right there....slide the tank out halfway, pour the water in, then slide it back.Overall, I'd say this is a really nice product. I highly recommend this if an evaporative cooler or humidifier is a good solution for you. I bought it for my garage but it's so nice and quiet that it is absolutely at home indoors, in a bedroom, etc. Just don't expect too much with evaporative coolers. When it's hot and dry, they work the best for cooling. This one looks great while doing the job.

With recent weather being all over the place, I've enjoyed this little evap cooler on the hot ones. My weather used to be very predictable. Hot, mostly dry, 95% of days. Now, it's been swinging between cold, wet and near 100% humid and hot, dry and single digit humidity (the weather guy said it was a record, only the second time he'd seen 1%).The fan works like any stick shaped oscillating fan. The controls on the unit and the remote are intuitive. The low levels are quiet, the high levels aren't. I'm mostly using it to maintain comfort and add some humidity at night. It really helps keep me from waking up needing water overnight. My mouth isn't dry in the morning.I'm using bottled/distilled water due to our supply being about as hard as water can get and still be legal to drink. The fan actually survived a pretty rough delivery. The exterior box was ripped wide open to the point that the delivery driver asked me if I wanted it returned as damaged before being confirmed delivered. I gave it a shot and it was fine.

Sehr tolles Produkt!

Okay, wow, I'm seriously impressed with this tower fan! It has so many features I'm not sure i live in a climate where I could test them all. It's a lot quieter than most fans I've used, and it has 4 different power settings. All the selections show up on the lit up display at the top of the fan. You can change it to rotate or to just blow air in one direction. I'm super impressed with how powerful it is, we have a very large bedroom and you can still feel the air moving when you're at the opposite wall of where the fan is. It also has a humidifier type feature, which actually works pretty well when the dry winter air needs some help. It also comes with a compact remote control. The price point is higher than i would have expected but given the features, I'm not going to complain at all
