I really like this fountain pen. It can today it took me a few minutes to figure out how it all comes together. Once that was clear to me, I was using it like a pro. The way the ink flows though the nib is wonderful, it feels good in you hand, and I'm glad it I saw this pen and ordered it.

I own several fountain pens and recently added this pen from Dryden to my collection. The price was reduced and decided to try it. At first, I was somewhat disappointed in it's performance (it skipped and the ink flow was erratic). I blamed it on both the pen itself and the cartridges. HOWEVER, after a few days and a more careful examination, I realized I was hasty when installing the cartridge. I took care this time and installed the cartridge with slow precision and wow - what a difference! The cartridge snapped in tightly and correctly (you could hear and feel it). It writes like a dream with or without the cap. I tend to write fast and it hasn't skipped at all. This pen is a winner and I am sure I will be using it on a daily basis. Seller gets an A+ for excellent packaging, quick handling and an overall great purchase!

This Dryden fountain is just what I wanted. My pen included refill cartridges and a medium and fine nib. It writes very smoothly and is a pleasure to use. Love it!

This fountain pen in very nice and beautiful. The quality is very good and easy to put the cartridge in. This is my first time trying a fountain pen and I am very happy. It writes smooth and when I inserted the cartridge the ink came in into the nib right away. This pen has some weight to it when using the cap on the back. I got this pen at a nice sale price (only $9, a great deal). It came with a nice pen pouch, 24 cartridges and a second nib (haven't switched them out to try yet). Also has a ink converter that you take out to insert the cartridge (was confused, I'm new). You DONT use the converter at all if your using the provided cartridges. Don't worry for first timers like my self Instructions are included!

I have always loved fountain pens and I use them everyday. This pen comes with 2 nibs and both have different thickness. Ink flow is smooth and it writes really soft. If you are in school and need to use fountain pens, you should go for it.The pen came with 12 blue and 12 black ink cartridges. I didn't want the black one so I wish there was an only blue option.

I'm always looking for new classy looking affordable fountain pens. I saw this one and really like the classic look of it and the hooded nib, so I got one along with a bottle of their ink.I got the black version of this. It comes with two nibs, one medium nib and one hooded nib with a fine point, and one converter. It also came with a box of their ink cartridges. 12 black and 12 blue cartridges. It came packaged in a box that's just big enough to hold everything. The pen is in a drawstring pouch just big enough to hold the pen.The pen itself is a classic style pen with a high gloss black finish with gold accents. The flex nib has a very attractive gold on silver design. The hooded nib is all gold finish with a very sleek and streamlined look. The cap is a snap on. It posts but not super well. The nib and feed assembly plug into cartridges and the converter firmly and with a good snap. The Nib and feed screw into the pen body. The medium nib writes smoothly, with just a very small amount of feedback, and writes a little wet. Although it is a wet writer it doesn't leak or drip. The hooded nib writes nicely with a significant amount of scratch and feedback, but not annoyingly so. It also had no leaks or drips. I couldn't detect a significant amount of difference between the size of the medium and fine nibs' lines. The ink cartridges are labelled black and blue. The blue is a darker blue with just a touch of black. However the black cartridge really has no business being called black. It is a medium gray. I like both of the colors, however do not expect to get a black ink from these cartridges. The pen itself is a very narrow pen. If you have larger hands and like a more substantial pen this isn't the pen for you. It is 10 mm in diameter just behind the grip. It is 122mm long without the cap posted and 163 mm long with the cap posted. This is annoying as it looks bigger in their pictures of someone holding it. I suspect that person either had very small hands or they photo-shopped it to look more substantial. As I said the cap posts but it isn't a good positive posting and there is a little wiggle in it. Meaning that if you like a longer pen, the cap is distracting when writing as it has the wiggle.Looking beyond the size of the pen and the slight cap posting issue, it is a very nice pen. It has multiple nibs and comes with a good supply of cartridges to get you writing for a long time, provided you are happy writing in gray ink. It has the converter so that you can branch out into the massive, probably 1000, world of different fountain pen ink brands, types, and colors. It also comes in a large variety of very intense bold colors if you don't like the classic black body color. It is a surprisingly good pen with a lot of extras for its price point. I think this would make a great starter pen, especially if you like the classic look of this pen.

I absolutely love this pen! Honestly when I ordered it, I was a little worried that the quality wouldn't be so good because of the price. I thought that the more a pen cost, the better the quality and the cheaper the pen, the worse the quality. So, comparing the price of this pen to other really expensive pens in the market really made me feel like there is no way that an affordable pen like this could have such good quality.BUT, boy was I wrong. As soon as it arrived, I immediately starting playing with it. I love the way it feels in my hand. It has a nice weight to it. When I write I like to attach the cap on the other end to balance the weight. I has an elegant design and I love the details on the pen; there is a nice balance of the two colors on the pen. The pen I ordered was gold and black and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The smoothness of the writing is the wow factor here. The ink runs smoothly like butter and it also runs consistently, there are no blobs and faint lines. It's so easy to write with this pen. Inserting ink in this pen is painless and honestly quite enjoyable.I really am impressed with the quality of this pen and I feel like I got really lucky, but in part I don't think it's luck, I just think that Dryden Designs is an excellent, honest brand. And that's all I want. I want to purchase another pen from them since my first purchase was so great. There aren't enough good things to say about this pen. Thank you Dryden Designs for my first fountain pen.
