These duck feather badminton shuttlecocks offer great stability and durability, just as described.

I recently started playing badminton again after many years, having previously played as a child. In search of shuttlecocks, I purchased this one box of 12 duck feather shuttlecocks for $22, which seemed to be a reasonable price. The packaging was secure, ensuring the materials arrived undamaged. However, I did notice that one of the shuttlecocks had a broken feather, as evidenced in the attached photos. This raises concerns about quality control, especially at this price point. While the shuttlecocks perform adequately for casual play and smashing, I was disappointed to find that they appear to be made of goose feathers rather than duck feathers, which I specifically wanted.Given these issues, I cannot recommend this product. I believe improved quality control is necessary, and there are better and more affordable options available on Amazon.

These "birdies" are great for neighborhood play that's a little more aggressive than the typical picnic play. The feather shuttlecocks travel more consistently through the air but seem to be more effected by breezes and wind. They tend to float rather than fly, so it's easier to anticipate where they will go. I don't know if that explains it better. Anyway, again these are good for neighborhood play with more talented players than for the average cookout group, in part because they are significantly more expensive.

I was actually really surprised at the quality of these birdies/shuttlecocks. They were in a very fancy tube, I THINK you are supposed to pop off the bottom and push down with the top to push out one of them but I couldn't quite figure that out so I just popped off the bottom and pulled it out by hand.It is made with some very nice duck feathers. There is a lot of excess glue around it in some areas but not the end of the world you can kind of pick it out if it messes with the game too much. It has a nice weighty but light (if that makes sense) bottom (top?) so that it lands easily on the ball rather than on the feathers. It is very bouncy and springs right off the racquetoverall we like how these look, how they perform, and their quality. We are hoping they are durable and will last a lot longer than our last birdies/shuttlecocks.

Remember those flimsy plastic birdies from your youth? How about from yesterday, the ones that came with that budget backyard set you acquired? Put those away and step up to a professional shuttlecock featuring real feathers and immaculate crafting.I've always wanted to play with real shuttlecocks to see how they'd impact my game, and now I have the chance. Sure, maybe it'll be like giving a set of professional golf clubs, but I have far better control over my badminton swing:>) No slices or duffs here!I like the attention to detail in their assembly and the uniformity from one bird to the next. They fly beautifully, and I look forward to pressing them into a full-blown match soon.If you are tired of the low-quality shuttlecocks you are settling for now, pick up a tube of these beauties. I know they'll improve your game!

I've only played for less than a year, but friends insisted I get feathered shuttlecocks (not plastic), and I think I can see why. They feel more responsive and work well with my racket. So far, I've only played a handful of times, but the 2-3 shuttlecocks still seem brand new, so I'm hoping this translates to long-term durability.

This was duck feathers instead of goose feathers. It was very brittle compared to goose feathers shuttles. I am an intermediate player but we were loosing 2 shuttles every hour. So value for money is not recommended.
