works great to secure my fishing rods to the kayak,extends further than needed to beable to cast/reel in without being in the way,great to secure your rods just in case.

I use these to connect my rod to my backpack/tackle box when I’m fishing from my raft or from a high place like off or a bridge or dam and it works exactly as expected, it’s enough slack to comfortably cast without it getting in the way and it’s connected securely enough where I’d trust that if I were drop my pole that it wouldn’t fall in. (Though I’ve yet to test the theory). Works great, would recommend it.

Attaches to D rings well and the adjustable strap fits all my rods. From light action bait rods, medium action rods, and heavy action this fits all the rods I use on the water. Feels very secure and has a good length to it. Overall, a great purchase!
