This made quick work of some seized tie rod ends. Popped right off. Wish I bought this sooner.

Used for a lower ball joint change, easily popped the outer tie rod and the lower ball joint. On both sides of vehicle. I lubricated all moving parts of the tool prior to use. And didn't use power tools on the tool. Just a ratchet and worked like a charm.

Using this currently to split joints on my Prelude. Was a little difficult to get it on the lower ball joints (mostly the angle and pressure on the joints). Whacked it a few times with a hammer and the little spring loaded ball came out. Not a major issue and i can still use it as intended, but it's still a little bit inconvenient that I have to watch the pin and make sure its always in fully. It's definitely a my-fault kinda thing. Got a little reckless with it. It's definitely good quality for a cheaper tool. Been using a lot of Duratech stuff in my arsenal recently and this one was a life saver (whacking the ball joints loose with a hammer was impossible on this car. Everything was OEM parts and the car's 23 years old). Would definitely recommend this if you've got balljoints to pop off. Didn't destroy any of the joint boots in the process. Also forgot i had pressure on the uppers when popping them off and it survived the snapback from a preloaded shock behind it so it'll definitely do what it's intended to do and survive some pretty tough jobs. Only have it a 4 star because of the ball coming out as easy as it did. Don't let anyone lie to you in the reviews. Duratech definitely beats out the Harbor Freight tools quality by a good stretch. Any mechanic should have one of these in their box at least as a cheaper backup separator alongside of their 2-way adjustable 2-pack wrenches.
