It's peculiar how you don't notice how stuff wears out when it's used on a frequent basis. Such is the case when I realized my Bianchi lightweight inner belt for my duty rig had become more or less useless. Thankfully, this thing came along and got me fixed right up again. The belt itself is fairly stiff, and the small buckle is very comfortable as an under belt. It's very nice to not have to adjust my belt and my gear constantly. I like the KISS principle as it's applied to this belt, and I feel that it's well worth the asking price. I feel that this one may be "stickier" than the original Bianchi belt I got with the set up. I expect to get a good few years out of this one. Not that it's defective, but just in acknowledgement that velcro wearing out when used on a frequent basis is as inevitable as death and taxes.

I will preface this by saying that I have never owned a dedicated EDC belt before this or really conceal carried. So I’m definitely not an expert on what makes a good EDC belt. But it is extremely rigid, and comfortable. I did not get it with the intention of using the 2 belt system, so I got the soft version to try as a solo EDC belt. I’m still trying different configurations and positions to see what works best for me, but I really like how once I get the belt adjusted right, I can slide the whole thing through the loops to whatever position I want without loosening it or taking it off.

Nice stiff belt that feels high quality. I bought this to attach the Peak Design camera mount and it holds it well. I like that it's minimal; the buckle is small, can fit through my belt loops, and doesn't look mall ninja at all. Admittedly, I've never heard of wearing two belts velcroed together, so I just ordered the soft version and I recommend you do the same unless you know why you'd want two belts.Sizing: I have a 33in waist so I got the Medium. It fits well, but there isn't a ton of leftover belt. If that would bother you get a size up.

You can go through a lot of belts if you are looking for durability because the very reason you are looking for durability causes belts to fail. Starting from the premise that you can strap a firearm to the belt without the belt rolling is a reasonable place to start. However, you often end up with a belt that is either too close to too wide for the belt loops so that threading it into the pants is a chore and a half or one that is so thick and rigid that it is all but impossible to thread into the pants; in either case, success cannot be had while wearing the pants. I was, and I am, reasonably happy with the other belt because once threaded through the belt loops, it is superb --once threaded through the loops. This belt's only weak spot, at least, on my opinion, is the buckle. Having said that, it is simple and effective and can be replaced if one was so inclined. This belt is rigid enough to hold a sidearm even though it is thin enough to go through normal belt loops easily. I did not buy this belt to wear with uniform pants or to hang a sidearm or an EMT pouch from it; I do not own a duty belt to sit on top of this one and be held in position by the velcro. What I do have is a long term frustration with corrected leather belts that are coated with a protective layer of urethane because that sort of belt cannot be taken care of properly in so far as the leather is concerned and, inevitably, their appearance degrades, and they fail. This belt needs almost no care and, short of being cut by EMT shears, it cannot fail. The buckle is stainless steel and appears to be machined so that failure is about as likely as the failure of a box wrench. I, LITERALLY, pulled it out of the box and out of the bag it came in and pulled it through the loops and it hooked right up. Not long after that, I realized that one can turn the belt the other way and one can equally easily turn the buckle and presto! nylon to the outside! I selected the hook side of the velcro because I expected it to have that side facing the outside and the loop side collects all manner of things, however, as it turns out, a completely unnecessary precaution. More complex buckles can, if you have something that presses on them, open unexpectedly so, the simple buckle turns out to be an unexpected boon as was the manner in which the buckle attaches to the belt. A particular benefit, at least, to me, of turning it inside out is that the velcro flap is now on the inside and cannot pull off from the belt. This is an excellent belt that goes well with utilities, jeans, and even khakis considering that this is a black web belt with a subdued open face buckle and comparatively easy to accessorize for. Fashion advice in a review of a tactical belt might seem entirely out of place, however, the failure of a thin, coated leather, black belt with a delicate single pin buckle while wearing pants that fit loosely enough for pleats and creases to remain ironed and unbroken can be almost as dramatic as dropping a P320 --maybe old news but who knows, better to get an excellent tactical belt than looks great. That it will last forever makes it an excellent value for the money.
