The fence was not attached to the arm on arrival. It was not even welded.

I looked at quite a few of these rip fence attachments before ordering this one. The dimensions given in the description/ photos were very accurate. The guide fits my U-336 Black and Decker saw very well-almost no slop. Looks to be pretty well-built as well. Absolutely satisfied.

I dislike it when products are misrepresented. It shakes the buyer's confidence in the supplier. How do I know that ordering again will turn out any difference?

I got this for my Dewalt saw and it worked out great. It fit perfectly. I had been meaning to get one of these and decided to try this and wasn't disappointed. It's well constructed and seems to be made of high quality metal. I used t recently when building a bookshelf and it worked great. It is pretty basic with no frills but that was what I was looking for. Decent entry level saw fence.

This is a basic fence that screws onto a DeWalt skill saw as well as some other brands. It isn't adjustable, but it adjusts by depth into the saw. This has markings in it for depth measurements. No case is provided. There is no great way to store the thumb screw on the item itself; it cannot screw into the fence. It can, however, stay attached to your saw.

This will meet my needs but is a little small for the saw, clearly not made to fit well. It is possible to hold it in position while tightening the screw but less than ideal.

Just to clear up any confusion, I am writing this review. This edge guide fits my Dewalt DCS573B cordless circular saw perfectly. Ignore the photos of the product provided by the manufacturer. He was obviously confused himself and displayed photographs of a Dewalt jigsaw. I have the cordless jigsaw and the aperture in the shoe through which you would slide an edge guide is not nearly big enough to accommodate this guide. The thumb screw fit, also, though it did not come with the washer depicted. The guide has two Imperial scales etched into it: one graduated from the edge of the guide toward the saw and the other graduating the other way. The etchings are difficult to read because they are not colored in any way, but at least they will not rub off. This guide is a substantial item, more so than other "universal" guides you will see, and because it is a near perfect fit through the aperture, it will not bind or shift around when in use.It is a good product and just right for a down-and-dirty straight cut of 12 inches or less. Any more than that and you will have to find another way to guide your saw.
