Trick to install is to mark where to drill holes with front panel on, then after drilling the first hole, put a screw in temporarily so the second hole will line up, then repeat for third hole.

This is a good quality interlock kit, but way too expensive for what it is. I could see $35.00, but $73.00 is a bit steep for what it is. Also, it is not designed quite right. I installed it by the book, but when the main breaker was locked out in the off position, it still would not allow the generator breaker to turn on. I had to cut 3/16" off the left side of the bottom tab with an angle grinder to give enough clearance for the 2 pole 30A generator breaker to be turned on. After I made that alteration, it works perfectly. I see this is a common issue. The depth of the top slot for the main breaker is 1/2". The width of the tab that blocks the generator breaker should also be 1/2". They should be the same. Eaton needs to change this design flaw.

Can't install level due to cutouts on interlock. Must be installed so bottom angles toward center of panel in orderto clear generator breaker. Apparently other consumers had same problem. Believe Mfg. needs to make generatorbreaker cutout 1/4" deeper which would correct the problem.

I was looking at model that cost twice as much from a different maker and was tempted to make my own at that price, but when I saw this one that accomplishes the same goal for half the price, I went with it. It first my old cutler-hammer vertical switch box perfectly. I lost one of the screw nuts and emailed them about it and they shipped me a new set for free within a week. Great customer service!

Make certain that you follow the instructions for drilling as there's little leeway for errors. With that said, it works great and is a great alternative to a transfer switch.

Interlock kit worked perfectly to keep my generator bypass system operating safely! Good instructions and easy to operate.

Easy to install, easy directions. Took about 20 minutes as long as you have home electrical knowledge. I like that it is safe and comes with all items to meet NEC code. I was surprised on how tight fitting the interlock is, great job on the tolerances for breaker cutouts, make safety fool proof.

Easy to install and works as advertised. Prevents the Generator Breaker from being turned on while the Main Breaker is also on. Makes it impossible to feed Generator Power back and out to the main line. It is a fairly inexpensive solution for the lock out and allows use of your entire breaker box circuits.
