Love this wine opener. My wife has arthritis and struggles to use a manual wine opener. This automatic opener has made that struggle a thing of the past. Just place the opener on top of the bottle and the cork is automatically removed and then discharged from the opener. I lowered my rating one star because occasionally the opener will stop after it has removed the cork, and the cork will not be discharged from the opener. Pushing the operation button seems to solve the issue but should the cork not be removed there is no way to manually remove the cork. Still a very nice unit that makes cork removal easy. Recommend.

We have used several of these automatic wine openers over the years with mixed results. Most struggle to extract a cork smoothly. This one seems to have more power than the other. The included foil cutters are a nice touch. For some reason the first cable I tried would not charge this unit. After using the one included with the package, it charged fine. My only problem was extracting the cork from the opener. I guess I missed the video showing how to tilt it and it will automatically remove it. I ended up pressing the orange button and moving it all around before it started the extraction. Live and learn. The price is a bit hefty but is does seem to work.

I ordered this to replace a similar wine opener that lasted for about a year. This arrived in a box, includes instructions, the opener, a base, foil cutter and charger. I put the opener on the base and plugged it in to charge. There is a charge indicator light which makes it easy to know when the wine opener is charged.I took off the "lid" to cut the foil from the bottle. I like that the lid of the opener can be used to cut off the foil, definitely beats looking for the "foil cutter gadget." I positioned the bottle under the opener and the opener quickly opened the bottle and then reversed to drop the cork. Quick and easy. Just like any other wine opener you will need to pay attention to how you position the opener over the cork so that it will go in straight. It's not a challenging this to do if the bottle is sitting on the counter. So far, no issues...but I do have to admit that this wine opener has the throw back look of something you might expect to buy in the 80's!

This works well and would recommend for anyone who struggles with using an old fashioned wine opener. After all it can take something other than a trivial effort to get a cork out with a manual corkscrew whereas this handles it with almost no effort. You place the opener on the neck of the bottle and it will take the cork out and once you pull the opener off the bottle it will eject the cork as well. The only complaint I have is that the opener will drive its corkscrew completely through the cork, which often times pushes a little bit (sometimes a lot) of cork right into your wine. With a manual corkscrew you can avoid this by ensuing that you don't twist and drive the corkscrew far enough to pierce the bottom of the cork. Not a major deal but it's a small flaw that if addressed would make this is a stellar product. This is ideal for those who struggle to use a manual corkscrew, which is nearly everybody!

This is an elegant looking, showy electric corkscrew which doesn't work as good as it looks. To most oenophiles, the ritual of opening the wine and tasting it is part of the tradition. So when I saw this corkscrew, I jumped at it.When it came in, I unpacked it, plugged in the charger base and put the corkscrew on the base to charge it. Then I wanted to try it out. I selected a bottle of wine to open, removed the foil cutter from the top of the corkscrew and proceeded to try to remove the foil. To do so, you put the foil cutter over the top of the bottle, squeeze the foil cutter and twist to cut around the edge of the bottle opening to remove it. Seems the bottle I chose had a thicker than normal foil and this foil cutter was just not up to the task. I took out the other foil cutter they included with this corkscrew, that doesn't fit on the top of the corkscrew and it did the job. Now I understand why they include a 2nd foil cutter. I then proceeded to put the corkscrew on top of the exposed cork to remove it. The corkscrew started to do its job and indeed removed the cork but on an angle. Evidently I didn't hold it totally straight and it veered off center and while it did remove the cork, it didn't eject the cork as it's supposed to. I had to fiddle with it to get the cork out. I tried a 2nd bottle later which had a shrink to seal plastic foil, which the original foil cutter removed quite well and making sure I had the corkscrew perfectly aligned with the cork, proceeded to successfully remove and eject the cork.As I said this is a mixed bag. My older electric corkscrew is less finicky removing corks and the old foil cutter that came with this older corkscrew and which fits on the bottom of the corkscrew when not in use removes foil reliably. So, I'm going to stick with the older one and gift this new one to someone I'm not close with.

I've used an electric wine opener before, but it didn’t look great or work well. However, this one is a game changer! It has a sleek design, comes with a stand, is rechargeable, and works flawlessly. Highly recommend for any wine enthusiast looking to elevate their experience!

Ok, so this does what it was designed to do, and it does it very well. End of story? Not quite. The hidden foil cutter does not work and it holds rather loosely to the top of the unit and is subject to getting lost. Not a problem because there is already a traditional foil cutter included in the box. The base unit requires two hands as the mechanism sticks to the base. The product is priced on the high end when compared to other ones on the market. Maybe that is why they made such carefully chosen statements in the ad, such as: "Open bottles with confidence. Both elderly people and women can easily open bottles" and "Automatic vomiting" and "Romantic Gift for Wine Loves". The basic product tests ok, but I would probably not buy it based on the high price and the poorly edited ad.
