Installing in an existing system is challenging. That is my problem, not the manufacturer’s .

This is the second time we have purchased this product. Loved it at our last house so we added it in to our new one.

Paid a premium for Electrolux part. This was labeled Plastiflex and could be bought for a fraction of the price. False advertising. Don’t waste your money.

I had to replace an existing one & this new design is a big improvement. Top exhaust fitting is compact & moveable, so the retro fit was smooth. This also is well suited for new installations as well,

Works great. A bit of a challenge to install, mainly because of limited space under cupboard.

So after I purchased this but before installing, I happened upon a video comparing it to the CanSweep. The CanSweep is a better, in my opinion, design and can be installed in a baseboard location rather than under a cabinet which in my case made the install of the CanSweep much easier than this item would have been. The CanSweep has a smaller profile so it fit without having to chisel out as much of the 2x4 at the base of the wall (see image). Used a WEN multi-tool I got here on Amazon for the cutting the baseboard. I am going to hang on to the Dustpan item in case I need it in the future if we remodel our kitchen.

Great product, well build and a snap to install and use. Well easy to install when the cabinets are being installed or being build, also easy when replacing an older one that has failed. This was my case, it replace Dustpan that had been in use for some 12 years and had failed. This product was the exact same thing and fitted like a glove. We would not do without it and is a great item to have in the kitchen or launder room. Delivery was quick and the product was great value for the money. Same product was selling here in our local stores at 5 times the price.

Not a ton to say about these - they work! We LOVE having the vacpans in the hard floor areas, especially the kitchen. These are a good price, nice white color, and simply work. I roughed in the plumbing for these during construction, and used a oscillating tool to cut out the trim once the house was finished, and stuck these right in. With a little finess, they connect great to the flex hose hanging from above, and the switch contacts are dandy as well. They have a nice seal when closed so other ports don't lose suction. Perfect.

This is extremely useful in the kitchen. It easily fits in the kick plate below a cabinet and when installed it is hardly noticeable. The switch is easy to operate with your foot. The valve seals completely when closed so it produces no noise or hissing sound when the vacuum is used in other rooms. They do sell a decorative plate, but I didn't find a need for it.I do recommend purchasing the flexible tube installation kit. This makes it easy to install it both with and without cabinets installed. The flexible tube only requires a hole in the kickplate, you then just push the excess tube under the cabinets once everything is hooked up.

After researching the availability of this item from various sources, including the manufacturer of the central vac system we installed on our house as it was built, I found this on Amazon. It appeared to be exactly what I wanted although it carried s different manufacturer and item number. I cost less than half the other options and was identical in every way. I noticed that the installer who did the original installation, failed to follow the instructions regarding nor gluing the 90 degree piece to the unit, so I had to make a quick run to the local Plumbing Supply store to purchase a new elbow for $2. The reassembly went much smoother than the extraction of the device and the wife is pleased with the result. The next time, removal and re installation will be a breeze.

The kick-switch broke off the original dust pan (dropped firewood). Luckily, the original installers didn't glue the pipe into the old one, so I just unscrewed it from the wall, and unscrewed the switch wires (unplugged the vac first), then pryed the pipe off the top. Then the old one just pulled out from the front, and the new one slid in, screwed it to the baseboard, connected the pipe and switch wire, plugged in the vac, and good as new.It shouldn't matter, but ours is a VacuFlo central vac.In general, we love having the dustpan for the central vac. it is way easier than hauling out the hose for quick sweeps of the dog fur and dust on the kitchen floor.
