The Electronic Specialties 309A Fuse Buddy kit worked very well for me. The battery in my kid’s car was slightly low, and kept discharging. My hold-on current meter indicated starter draw was normal, and the alternator was working once the engine started, but it also indicated a roughly 5 A current draw when everything was off. I pulled out one of my VOMs and it indicated my kid’s car had a 4.8 A current draw on the battery while everything was off. So, now I had to check each fused line to find what was drawing 4.8 A. For this task I purchased the ES 309A Fuse Buddy kit. I was able to check the current on each fused line to track down the current draw. It tuned out that the current draw was not on a fused line, but was drawn by the alternator, which I confirmed by measurement using the Fuse Buddy. So, although the current was not drawn on a fused line, this Fuse Buddy helped in tracking down the culprit. I am very happy with the purchase.
