I purchased this board because I needed some DPDT relays to mute pairs of speakers and the description for these said they accept up to 16 gauge wire which is what I use on my speakers. Unfortunately the connection blocks are very small and there is almost no way to get 16 gauge wire into them without wire strands bunching up. 18 gauge wire fits just fine but that doesn't work for my situation. I wish they would consider using slightly larger connection blocks since the relays have the capacity for applications drawing enough current to warrant using 16 gauge (or even larger) wire with them. Except for that these are really nice relays.

I have a 2 DPDT version of this - that works. One of the relays on the 4 DPDT version burned down immediately at power up - smoke and all. I`ve requested for a replacement, but it`s delayed by 3 weeks - which is quite frustrating. I`m keeping my fingers crossed that it works when I receive it.

i did not read the datasheet before buying, unit is only rated for 1amp on each relay.

Most 12vdc relay boards use between 4-20ma standby power, in my experience. This one uses 0, according to my meter set on the micro-amps setting. When activated, it is running 11ma per relay (that's maybe 1/4 the normal say 10A contact relay coils) These contacts are rated at 1A DC res. It seems perfect for a battery project where every milliamp can count.

Easy to wire and works great. The click is a little louder then expected, but not bad.
