This race flower bed is so useful and functional. I like this far better than just having a bed row, you know those kinda brown orangey ones that are an eyesore, and sit on the ground and leave a whole dirty pile behind. This lets me move it around flexible and comfortably when weighted down appropriately, with soil, it tends to minimize the chances of it falling over. But we use us out on our patio and find it's a great way for growing so many different things. We don't typically grow flowers in it, so much as we will grow some fresh produce. Regardless what you're growing in it, if it's something that may be affected by a chill and you wanna bring inside, it's relatively easy to do that as well. Really nice, and far less expensive than similar ones that you can find at the big bucks stores.

I took awhile before I decided to put this together because I had a feeling it would be a pain to put together and I was right. The suggestion is that you have 2 or 3 people to put this together and first, yes, that is the best idea, you'll need someone to hold the other end while to put one side together and second you'll need someone to take you to the ER if you get cut. These are reasonably thin pieces of aluminum? Sheet metal?, and they do include several pairs of gloves to use as you assemble. With the first step, to put the plastic ends on the legs, you'd think would be easy, but it was really hard until you kind of get the idea. My hands and wrists were cut up and My (adult) daughter slipped and actually cut her wrist on the aluminum/metal and had a deep gash. I quiet seriously had to consider if I needed to get her to the ER asap to get stitched up. You must be VERY careful, should you purchase this product.Aside from it being a HUGE pain to put together, my (adult) son, daughter (until she was injured and said, 'no thank you') put this together and it was excruciatingly frustrating and not without injury. the aluminum sheets are sharp. The plastic covers (light blue)on the end of the legs are nearly impossible to put on. They are rigid and the aluminum legs have to fit between the two ridges. You have to bend open the metal, get the two side and the middle into the plastic ridge... so bad...this is how we all got cut up, and I am not dainty and neither are my kids. I build, fix, create, use power tools... I was so frustrated. On the other end of the 'legs' they have soft, rubbery, easy to put on ends and I'm not sure why these aren't used on the whole thing. We finally got this put together because I was determined to get it done. I think it will be nice enough? I'm not sure... considering it's assembly was momentarily the bane of my existence... I have it in the garage until I decide how/where I will use it when the snow melts... I am hoping it won't rust. I can't imagine it falling apart since there are a million screws and bolts..Seriously consider how badly you want this product. If you are young and inexperienced, it's a no. If you are older or elderly, absolutely not, no. If you are anything other than just absolutely determined to have this and ready to get cut up and injured....don't do it. I only give it the second star because I was actually able to get it together.

I love to garden and I have a spot where a large raised planter is a perfect addition. On a positive note, the metal that this planter is constructed from is good quality and the planter is sturdy, as it should be for the price. However, nothing about the assembly worked well and if you order this planter, make sure to have another person to help; it takes at least two people to put it together. Then, throw out the instructions because they are useless and go with intuition. My sister and I attached the sides together, then screwed them onto the base and the legs. Make sure to have a table that you can rest the bin on while you put the legs on. The bottom of the bin doesn't fit into all four legs squarely, so we had to bend one corner up to fasten all the screws. Getting three layers of metal lined up with the screw holes in place so that you can put the screw through them all was a task of strength and then you have to tighten each nut. Having pliers and a wrench to add to the provided short screw driver made that possible, but my sister sliced her finger in the process. The strengthening rod that goes underneath the bottom piece isn't quite long enough and attaching it makes the bottom of the bin buckle slightly, and getting the plastic protectors on the top of the legs was the most challenging task of all of them. The directions call for putting them on first. In fact, we could only get them on after the planter was completely assembled and that wouldn't have happened without a rubber mallet. Now that I have the planter assembled, I will fill it full of parsley and Swiss chard, but I will never order anything else from this company again.
