I bought this series around two years ago for my 76 FPR and did not care for it, I just got a 74 Music Man 210 65 combo. The original music man speaker was cracked and the other speaker was another 1028 or close to it. I first tried a Legend ceramic and the amp did not sound good at all, it sounded better with the original cracked speaker! So I put in the new 1028 and the amp came back to life, sounds really good, very clean with a taste of edge, just a very desirable tube sound produced through this 1028.Is it for every amp probably not, remember its rated at 35 watts, but through the music man it made all the differents I could ask for.Remember alnico speakers are quite expensive and at this price point the 1028 is a very good deal hands down and made in the good ole USA.

I replaced a fender frontman 25 r with this 35 w 1028k eminence legend and I will say this is it !!!!if you’re looking for incredible tone, beautiful tone, almost tube like in a solid-state amp there is no other option for the money period !!!!!!!! I read a ton of reviews for replacing the stock speaker with the Ragin’ Cajun, or the cannabis Rex’s , on and on and on and on. If you’re looking for the best clearr sound, the best base sound ,the best smooth sound there is no better speaker for the money . If you are a metalhead this is not the speaker for u, but if you like Beautiful clean tone you will not be disappointed no need to look at reviews no need to look at more videos I wish somebody had Written a Great review When I was looking it would have saved me months and months of research. The more you play it the better it will sound BUY IT!!!PS the Weber 10a125h and the Jensen p10q-f Alianico are more money .unless you can buy them used!!

This is a very good guitar speaker in the "vintage" style. This reviewer has had the opportunity to directly compare it to the Jensen P10R reissue and the Weber 30-watt 10A125. Compared to the Jensen it sounds smoother and richer with more low midrange, but still with plenty of treble. Compared to the Weber it sounds louder, much clearer (especially in the bass), with less bass overall and with much more high frequency extension. The Weber sounded very dull and bassy compared to this Eminence speaker. The 1028K breaks up quite early in an old-fashioned way. It becomes slightly compressed and spongy sounding as it is pushed.

Eminence Governor and Lil Buddy GTR spkrs.hello musicians...i address this review to those who CAN hearsmall differences, and who Dare to try different things...today, we took the epiphone Dot studio geetar, withthe tiny vox ac4tv mini Tubes amp...to test outaround 15 different eminence speakers !the above is based on the sweet, bloom sound ofEL 84 tube... and that is what we aimed to get...a bit MORE than the internal 6 inch speaker, which is, actually, quite nice on its own too !but on the Backside, i saw a speaker connectionfor 16 ohms...mmmmconclusion first...I chose the Governor, AND the Lil Buddy.yes, a red and a blue...!we are gonna make 2 separate boxes, and allowseries connection so they add up to 16 ohms...OR, be played individually at 8 ohms..there is Quite a difference between the above 2spkrs in sound, however, surprisingly, whenConnected Together in seriesand played back with the above equipment IN CLEANMODE, the sounds are simply AMAZINGLY accurateand Dream like ! can put one in a trance !so, GO ahead, and try out various eminence and otherspkrs combinations too ... u will be surprised !the next bests, which i liked for the slow slowjazzy type , are :private jacktonespotterso, ,there you have itone man's test results in a compressed form !thanks for reading andalways have fun or Joy !k

Based upon some information obtained within the harp community, I put this baby into a VHT Special 6, also tube modified. The end result was a rip snortin' little harp amp for about $300.00. I expect that putting one of these speakers into any harp amp needing a new speaker would result in some killer tone .
