I'm liking this borescope. The video is nice and clear, and the LEDs are bright enough to see in the darkest places. Having the ability to control both the brightness and contrast will be helpful in some situations, as in areas that have some reflective surfaces or even cobwebs. In those areas, enough light reflects back to override the areas you're really interested in.The cable has just the right amount of stiffness to be able to control where to run the lens. And there's no "memory" to the cable; it doesn't spring back from however you bent it.The attachments are a nice addition, but also the only reason I deducted a star. There's nothing in the instructions about how to attach them. The attachment slides onto the lens fine and seems to stay put, but it's actually not tight enough to keep it on that lens. I found that out when trying the mirror in a tight area. Just moving the lens around caused the mirror to slip off. But then I looked more closely at the attachment. There's a tiny clip that, when squeezed, locks in place. Also, you need to place the attachment about a half inch behind the lens, where there's a channel that's narrower than the lens part. Squeezing that tiny attachment isn't easy, and you may need pliers, but once done, it's firmly locked in place. Removing it is a pain, too. I needed to squeeze the "inside" section of the attachment with my thumbnail to get it to unlock. The pictures below show 1) That channel where the attachment snaps into, 2) A side view of the attachment in place, and 3) A front view, showing how the attachment locks. In these pictures, I used a spare empty attachment.Anyway, once I figured out how to clip the attachment on, I was able to use the magnet to retrieve the dropped mirror.Overall, I'm very happy with this new borescope.

For a budget-friendly endoscope, this unit does exactly what it promises—and a bit more. I used it to inspect a few hard-to-reach spots in my car’s engine bay and under a sink, and it worked surprisingly well for the price. The screen is large and clear enough to give you a good view, and the adjustable lighting on the camera end is a big help in dark spaces. The gooseneck cable is fairly stiff, which makes it easier to maneuver down vertical or tight paths, but it can take a little finesse to aim properly without twisting into a wall or getting stuck. The interface is simple, and while there’s no image or video saving capability (no SD card slot), it’s functional for real-time viewing and quick diagnostics. If you need to share what you see, you’ll have to snap a photo of the screen with your phone. The included attachments (like a mirror and magnet) are useful, but the instructions are vague on how to secure them. Once I figured out the tiny locking clip and where to attach it behind the camera, they stayed on securely, but it took a bit of trial and error. If you’re a DIYer or occasional tinkerer, this is a great tool to have in the toolbox for quick inspections—whether it’s checking for leaks behind a wall, retrieving dropped bolts, or seeing inside a pipe. Professionals may want something with more resolution and recording options, but for casual use, this is a solid little tool that works well and won't break the bank.

We got this to use for our old house plumbing lines, though it has turned out to be great for taking a look at our dryer vent hose and inspecting other tight spaces. It's an affordable option to hiring a plumber at $200+ to scope the lines, though our version only goes to 16.5 ft so we may consider upgrading later to a longer version. It takes only a few minutes to learn how to use it and stiffen the cord to control the end to look in the direction needed. It's not that fun to clean up, but the smooth cable makes it easy to do. The screen does give the visibility needed and buttons will allow camera to zoom, adjust light/contrast, etc. It will last about 3+ hours with one charge, and has a charging cord included. It's an easy and fun to use tool, happy to have it in our toolbox!

I have a Milwaukee inspection camera that went belly up on me, and I picked this up because I needed to see if some rust protection spray was coating the interior of the car's frame. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I read the description wrong, as I thought this was a 6.5' cable. This went way further than I had anticipated, and I was able to look further into the frame to see that I didn't need to spray as far as I had thought (although I still may, just to cover my bases).I've used this to look at some of the connections on my boat trailer as well, and at this price, it's nice to have for dirty jobs that I just am not as concerned with using this camera for. The display is large enough for my use, as I know that's one of the bigger reasons for costlier versions, and the tradeoff of a longer cable vs a bigger screen is something I can easily work around by using my cell phone to enlarge a pic of the screen, if I need to.I find this to be a great value, and my neighbor is looking to get one after seeing mine and testing it on a few things.
