To keep the dreadful flies out of my horses eyes!! This mask works great. Has stays in the upper portion of the maske to hold it away from his eyes Easy to clean. My horse likes it. He stands very still and cooperative when I put it on him

I've been a fan of the Cashel fly masks for years, and this is the first time I've tried one from Equinavia. I'm impressed and will happily purchase this again. My horse's head is often awkwardly between sizes, with Horse / Full being a little too large and Cob being a little too small. The Cob size of this mask fits him very well, so the sizing is generous.I love the forelock hole, which is a requirement for any fly mask for my horse. The hole really helps the mask stay on and centered. And I love the covered ears, and *especially* the two Velcro straps around the cheek. Having two allows for better adjustment and customization for his face shape. My horse is in a pasture with 30 other horses. He's the herd boss, but I'm sure there's plenty of "horse play" among the geldings. They've managed to get it off him just once in ten days of wearing it, and it had no marks on it afterward, so it's a quality mask and looks like it will hold up well.My boy seems comfortable with it on and doesn't fuss when I'm putting it back on him after a ride. And if I were planning a particularly buggy ride, I wouldn't hesitate to leave it on him. He can see well with it on. The darts around the eyes help the mask stay up and away from his eyes and eyelashes. If this mask lasts as long as I think it will, it will rank next to my previous favorite from Cashel. Highly recommended!

I had high hopes for this fly mask! Right out of the gate it looked very durable and had excellent Velcro straps and I really liked the padding around all of the stitching. However, it was completely obliterated within 48 hours. If you have horses, you know that fly masks are lucky to last a month they are Stellar if they last an entire season and must be blessed with witchcraft if they last two seasons. This one didn’t even last two days I found it shredded and thrashed on the ground while he trotted around with no mask on.I suppose if your horse lives in a stall and run situation where they are not turned out, perhaps it would last longer longer? However, we are turn out horses so it did not survive. I do have one brand from last summer that has lasted two seasons, so I will just continue to purchase those as they seem pretty durable.

I got the horse size for a 15.3H TWH to replace a lycra mask due to poor durability. Maybe I should've gotten a cob size and maybe it would eliminate the fly problem. First, the velcro straps over hang where they attach (hint, maybe a cob size would work better). Second, the first week it worked great, the next it was full of flies. Now, I'll admit the flies have been horrible this year but never have I seen them in a mask this bad. And I don't see how there getting in. I would not advise against this mask, as maybe sizing is part of the problem (I don't really think so as it is a sung fit the whole way around). The material seems really well made and durable. The horse didn't try to rub it off like other masks, even with it full of flies. I think the mask is easier for the horse to see through, and it keeps out away from there eyes instead of rubbing on them. I cannot attest as to how it would hold up in a field as I don't leave them on when there out as the first thing they do is go roll or itch on a tree and loose it somewhere. Now, I did leave it on over the bridle when I went on a trail ride and that did work really well. She seemed much happier. The flies could still get on her nose but not in her face and ears. The other horse with a lycra mask under the bridle sweated horrible with the lycra mask on so we had to take it off. The horse with the Equinavia mask did not sweat any more than normal. So, compared to the price of masks for actual riding, I'd use this one instead as it is cheaper but the horse seemed happy and the mask seems really well made. And I like the material around the head and nose, its not the ruffled cotteny stuff that gets stiff and thin. This seems nice and smooth, and maybe cooler. But, unfortunatly, for when confined to the barnyard its back to the lycra mask as it does keep the flies out all the time, til she rips a hole in it.

I got the Equinavia Algard Soft Mesh Horse Fly Mask in Warmblood size for my 17 hand Warmblood X. He has a long head but not necessarily that wide. This mask fit with room to spare around his jaws and there is plenty of velcro to customize the fit, especially if your horse has a thicker throatlatch.I normally just leave masks on all day (but check for any rubbing every day or so) and I was happy to see it still on his face after a night of rolling in his turnout. The darts are doing a goof job of keeping the mesh away from his eyes.

My horses live outside 24/7 and they are in a field with trees. Usually within a couple hours a mask is off and the hunt is on. Not with these! There is a couple tears although they wore them almost all summer and we're washed a few times. I'll buy these masks again. Highly recommend!
