Clutch Kit was used, NOT new. Although, it was is usable condition.

My 03 Mazda Protege5 had over 160,000 miles on it so it was time to change the clutch. I am not much of a mechanic but luckily my wife uncle works on cars and trucks a lot and was willing to show me how. This was a fairly easy project to do which took us about a full days worth of work. If you are on a budget and have a friend or family member who knows their way around a car or if you are mechanically inclined I would recommend spending the day doing it and saving yourself about $1,000. It was lasted me now almost a year and has continued to impress me!

Installed this on my 2002 Mazda Protege5. The installation was a pain, but that isn't the clutches fault. Once installed, the car ran like new. I did enjoy that the kit came with stickers. Not that I would use them, but its a nice touch.

Bought this clutch to replace the stock one on my wifes P5. I bought the car with 142k miles and noticed the clutch would slip in 1st. Instead of waiting for it to leave my wife stranded i bought the kit from Amazon. it arrived promptly including the replacement flywheel. I had a shop intall the kit and its been fantastic for the past 2k miles. Quality was top notch and I later found out the shop i went to to get the clutch installed would have sold me on the exact same kit at 3x the cost that i paid amazon for it.

the clutch came in perfect condition, it fit exactly how it should (clutch, pressure plate, and bearings), and it is working wonderfully in my car.Great product!

My OEM clutch finally gave out after 130k miles on it. This replacement kit was all I needed to get my vehicle back on the road again; all the bits and pieces required to complete the job were all in the box. The price was the best I could find anywhere and the super fast shipping was an added incentive to place the order. My mechanic admitted that he would have used the same kit to repair my car. Glad I found it here.

Got it for my '02 Protege5 at around 150,000 miles. I don't think the old one was worn out yet. Changed it for preventative maintenance. Anyways, had my mech put it in for 'round $500. You're gonna want to machine the flywheel and change fluids. Pedal felt VERY light and engaged close to the floor for the first week of breaking in. Barely had to tap it to shift. But it's back to the stock feel now; engages in the middle with some weight to it. Same amount of travel. Had it for almost a year now without any problems. Treat this car well and it will last many miles.
