Why Eyson Life Jacket is Different - Fabric Cover
1. SOLAS Reflectors: 2 large area reflective bands on fabric cover, greatly increase visibility in darkness.
2. Transparent Plastic Window: Designed for easily checking the status of the device to confirm whether it's ready for use or not.

Have not had to inflate the device, which is good. Fast donning is difficult due to restricted strap adjustment capabilities. A between the legs tie would be helpful.

Really nice product for the price, but not USCG Approved. If you are stopped for a safety inspection you could be told these do NOT comply with federal and state laws. I returned the two I purchased for that reason and the return was handled promptly and to my satisfaction by the sell, cudos. The product is well made, of good quality and the sell informed me that they have begun the process of obtaining USCG approval. Once they have that taken care of I will purchase again.

Coast Guard stopped me for an inspection and told me I needed an approved PFD for all on board. At the time they did not consider these PFD's as approved. So I keep an extra USCG approved standard PFD on the boat. Follow the instructions about keeping it dry as rain or wave spray can cause the auto inflate to trigger. Love the slim secure fit. Allows full movement, secure without the bulk. On a hot day does not feel like a jacket as some PFD's do.
