I've owned this heater for years, and I finally got tired of buying the small cans. This hose is an exact fit, without paying the Brand Name prices. Now I can hook up to a full size propane tank and run the heater for a week or more as opposed to less than a day.

Like nearly every other fuel tank, you can get sediment or other impurities in propane tanks. It's like insurance for your device and easier to replace.Be mindful though, this does not fit on other devices where the opening is too small to allow the filter to pass through. I have several other heaters I wanted to replace hoses on. This hose would have been a good choice except it would not fit through the opening where the hose leads to the big tank.
