I bought this wallet because it was carbon and thought it would be light and minimal. The wallet is very bulky and heavy. Customer service with Fantom is horrible also. I returned the wallet right away.

What can be said about this product as well as the customer service that hasn't been already said. I've been purchasing these wallets since the beginning and they have never failed! I bought the Fantom R when it first released and I just recently gave it to a friend because I finally upgraded. These wallets are truly craftsman. And now they came out with the tracking card that has blown away the competition. The simplistic way to recharge the card truly makes it one of a kind! I cannot recommend this anymore than I already have. Top Notch!!!

I am really liking the X Fantom wallet. This is light (but not cheap), sturdy and well-made. Operation is wonderful. My 5-10 model is 'full' with 6 cards albeit 1 of those is the archaic embossed-style cards. I think an embossed-style card counts at least as 1.5 cards. I am left-handed. This is definitely designed as a right-hand operated device, but it is still quite workable. I have used both sandwhich-style (ridge) and slide-out style (GL) wallets and have found the Fantom to be the best so far. The only complaint I have is the money clip (ordered separately) can ONLY be installed on the topside of the wallet (because of the design of the clip itself) which restricts access to the thumb-slide cutout when bills are carried. I would prefer the clip to go on the bottom of the wallet. Fantom should offer the clips in both configurations.

I had a nice veg tan leather chain wallet, but it was too heavy for hiking. Then I got a cheap zippered nylon wallet and it was too flimsy and didn’t have the best organization to it.So I wanted something to bridge the gap between the two. Along came the Fantom X. I was immediately sold on the fanning feature and the materials used. I’ve been a huge fan ever since having my hands on it. The fanning works just as well as advertised and it’s incredibly fun to use. It wins in the looks and functionality departments. Well worth the investment. The RFID works great and the extras (like the money clip) are worth getting. I’m a Fantom customer for life.

I have used Fantom as my daily carry wallet from their days on kickstarter and have never used any other brand or wallet look a like. Fantom wallets are worth every penny and very durable.

Decided to surprise my boyfriend with a wallet as he was carrying a traditional leather wallet that was falling apart. I wanted something that wasn't super cheap in case it breaks after a few uses or a super expensive one. I had wanted something along the middle and I came across the Fantom X wallet.Pros:-minimalist and love the carbon fibre finish-featherlight and small-durable-matches his electric car interior console-the fanning feature as it was so easy to see all your cards at once-lifetime warranty-trendy and futuristic looking-helpful instructions and packaging was well thought out-fast shipping with AmazonFeedback:-perhaps a coating to prevent scratching and bumpers on the corners-accessories are a nice addition, but costs extra. I decided to purchase the silicon band to hold cash and receiptsWe waited a week before writing this review as we wanted to make sure we had a solid product. I highly recommend this wallet as my boyfriend has travelled with it throughout the US for his work (he's in mechanical engineering), and had dropped it a few times on job sites, and no issues. The wallet is a gem to have, highly recommended!

Coming from an old leather wallet that carried every card (plastic or paper) under the sun, not to mention cash and receipts, I wanted a minimalist wallet to carry only the cards I absolutely needed (many are fine to stay in my phone's Wallet app). I also wanted to be sure I wouldn't lose it. Finally, I wanted a wallet that would present almost no footprint when I exercised yet would provide the identification necessary to walk/hike/run/ride confidently. Although there were still several options that fit the bill, I arrived at the Fantom X with the AirTag option. On top of meeting these basic needs, I couldn't ask for a slicker-looking unit. If you think this wallet looks cool, it does! If you think it looks durable, it is! This thing is engineered to be stylish, tiny, and precise. And the card fanning function clinched the deal. Beyond just looking cool, it truly offers the easiest access possible to my seven cards. I will admit that the price is higher than most wallets of this type, but after using for 2 months, I couldn't be more pleased with my choice ... the quality of operation and precision of engineering make this wallet a pleasure to pull out and use. Finally, although the RFID blocking was important to me, I also wanted to be able to use a swipe card from time to time (hotel key, parking card), so I added the ID Holder option. I leave it off most of the time to achieve the minimalist footprint I desire, but I add it (with two screws) before I travel for convenient use of my hotel room key. For this flexibility, I forewent the MagSafe option ... besides, I'm not looking to add to the size of my phone but to keep my wallet separate from my phone, actually shedding my phone from time to time (I stay tethered with my smart watch), while keeping my identification and other essential cards with me.
