The Febco F825EBV 1" Reduced Pressure Zone Assembly is a Y pattern reduced pressure zone assembly designed to prevent the reverse flow of high hazard (toxic) fluids found in the water from entering into the potable water supply due to back siphonage and or backpressure in accordance with national plumbing codes and water authority requirements. It is used in water services to industrial plants, hospitals, morgues, mortuaries, and chemical plants and is also used in irrigation systems, boiler feed, water lines and other installations requiring maximum protection. This assembly consists of a bronze body, threaded quarter turn ball valves, test cocks, spring loaded Y pattern check valves, and one hydraulically dependent differential relief valve. This backflow assembly includes flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When activated through an add-on sensor connection kit, the flood sensor can send an alert to notify the user of potential flooding. Add-on sensor connection kits are available for both BMS and cellular communications.

Good quality. High price, but you get a backflow that is easy to replace gaskets and provide 20 years of service. The plastic ones of other manufactures 6 to 8 years.

I replaced a different vendors Backflow with this one just because of how easy these are too repair and test. They are pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Had this Febco backflow preventer professionally installed by a large plumbing company in April of 2023. It is now June of 2023 and the backflow preventer is rusting and leaking at several spots (see the photos). Very disappointed, considering the price.EDIT: And now it's leaking. Through the metal!

This is my second negative experience. I requested a FEBCO 825Y 1" reduced pressure assembly and received an 825YF 1". Cannot use this valve assembly, how do I get my money back?
