I needed to replace this gasket cause the old one was leaking. This one was a good one no leaks and good quality.

Our 2008 Nissan Rogue was leaving puddles and needed oil added frequently. A web search showed this gasket was a common culprit. On one of the videos it showed some of the bolts could have worked themselves loose and may only be hand tight. I was tempted to check for these loose bolts, tighten them, and see if the leak improved. On this car, the bolts were tight, so there was going to be no quick, cheap, lazy fix. Changing these gaskets doesn't take much more effort than tightening these bolts, however. Once you have access to the bolts by lifting the car and removing the wheel, it doesn't take much more effort to remove the four bolts from the oil cooler and replace the o-ring. The removed one was indeed flattened and hard, so it wasn't surprising that it could be leaking and a new seal would fix it. I don't think the paper type gasket was leaking, but this kit includes one and I was already under the car, plus removing the bolts to get to it makes it much easier to remove the o-ring bolts, so I replaced it too. I should have done this a year ago, saving gallons of oil, driveway spots, and the time from the frequent oil checks. This was an instant and cheap, and not too difficult fix.

I didn’t take the oil cooler off like most people do.I just went in through the passenger side reach up in there removed the four small bolts. I cleaned everything well and used this gasket kit, and reassembled the cooler. So far, it’s good.

Worked perfect and how it should. No leaks after replacing the old gasket and seal. The fit was perfect.

Worked perfect for my 2.5 Altima 2011. The over gasket is a leak point because it gets worn. Oil was slowly puking out of that area, and after replacement of the gaskets there was no leakage. The swap is simple but not easy. Your hoses are probably caked on there pretty good. Highly recommend long reach needle nose pliers for this job, as well as a variety of extensions to get to the bolts. It’s very awkward to pull out the cooler from the bottom. The top is a bit easier supposedly, but I just went in through the passenger wheel well. FelPro is dependable and the gaskets seemed high quality.

2008 Nissan Rogue had a sporadic oil leak that was driving me crazy trying to find it. A YouTuber posted a video of how to find and fix it and this was the part. So glad to get it fixed before I lost an engine due to a oil leak that only leaked sporadically…

These Fel-Pro gaskets are very well made. You can see they added a very low raised blue silicone ring on the gasket that goes between the engine block and the oil cooler. The "O-Ring" style gasket was a perfect fit.The job itself was a bit messy, but overall not too difficult. Save yourself some headache and do an oil and filter change at the same time. I also drained the coolant, but I still ended up getting it everywhere as some residual coolant dribbled out of the hoses. For the hoses, I ended up removing the coolant lines on the other end. I removed the air box to get to the thermostat housing. It was easier to unclamp the hoses there and just feed the hoses down behind the engine. This allows you to leave the hoses connected to the oil cooler, leaving them undisturbed. Feeding them back in was a bit tricky. At first, they were cris-crossed, so I fixed them to run parallel to each other. Reconnecting them was simple because the shape of the hoses - one has a bend.I was able to loosen the bolts holding together the oil cooler BY HAND. They were not even tight. When I put it back together, I tightened them snug with a ratchet. I did not bother to torque them because 35 ft. lbs. (the spec) honestly felt like too much for an aluminum housing. However, the bolts holding the oil cooler to the engine have a very light torque spec, just 16 ft. lbs. You DO NOT want to over-tighten these, because they will break!Turns out, my oil pan is also dripping, so I have to fix that next. But that should be easy to do with some RTV. Too bad Fel-Pro didn't make a gasket for that. I would buy it in a heart beat.
