Ok so I have a guitar that’s cheaper and I’m learning to do everything on it but the guitar holds a special place in my heart so I decided to upgrade it. For the price of this pot it really is a good deal and it’s installed and sounds amazing. I’m not an audiophile or anything but I did notice a difference compared to the regular pot that was in. For the fit I had to shave the hole a little bigger but that wasn’t a big deal. It performs great and I added a treble bleed on it and sounds so good. NOW my only gripe with it is that when I went to put my volume knob on it the shaft fell out of the threading. There are 4 prongs that hold onto it and any amount of pressure lifts them up and it falls out. I basically had to shave the inside of the volume knob and gently and slowly rock the volume knob back and forth until it caught some. That was probably the most annoying thing of this pot, it wasn’t a deal breaker but I’m scratching my head at why there wasn’t a better way so they don’t separate so easily.

Just installed in my Tom delonge strat, I am playing once again. You need to make sure you have the correct knob for this pot. The shaft diameter is bigger than the stock one, so I had to drill the hole to a bigger size in my knob.

Needed a new volume pot for my partscaster with humbuckers, sounds great, it feels like a medium to a high friction pot

Worked just great. I MUCH prefer solid shafts over silly split shafts for cheap junk plastic push-on knobs...metal chrome knobs with set screws on solid shafts are far superior. Nice to have the capacitor and lock washer and washer included...good job!

Item arrived earlier than advised. These potentiometers are as rare as hens teeth, and I was pleased to see the genuine item and that they were exactly as described. Brilliant service.

I bought 3 of these to replace the pots of a second hand MIM Fender Jazz Bass when I decided to upgrade the pickups. They worked great, easy to install and they have given me nothing but happiness. They were delivered sooner than expected.

I installed this on my Epiphone SG after my split shaft pot broke. It sounds great and wasn't too hard to install either. The only challenge was getting the capacitor soldered onto the bottom of the pot since it was such a smooth surface and I didn't have any rosin-core solder.Either way, solid shaft is great and I have no complaints about the sound I'm getting out of my guitar with the new pot. I'll buy another next time I want to change one out or repair.

It doesn't matter what packaging you use, a CTS pot is going to be a great pot. Smooth rotation with just the right amount of turning resistance. Absolutely noisless. These come packaged with high quality .022uf caps for use as tone controls.
