amazing quality. it is not the most notorious roasting, but you can tell its legit roasted and not tinted like other brands. The fretwork is impressive for a fender mex neck. I've owned Mexican fenders with not so good fret work. This one is flawless! The matte finish on the back is amazingly soft and fast, while the gloss on the front is what you would expect from a glossy fender finish, Really clear and spotless. I really have no complaints, maybe i got a good sample, but this neck is impressive! kinda regret not buying the one with the block inlays, but maybe in the future.

Bought for a re-neck on a blonde offset Tele. It's perfect, but there are two important things to know. First, the fretboard may not overlap the body like the old neck. It fits and bolts in perfectly, but may have one less fret (21 instead of 22). I don't need a 22nd fret so I'm good. Second and most important - Sand the overspray out of the tuner holes before you try to jam new ferrules in the headstock! They should not have a ton of resistance pressing them in. They should be snug, but not tight. In the interest of not splitting a brand new neck, this is important.

I bought the Telecaster roasted maple neck for a parts-caster build. The neck fit like a glove with only a tiny bit of sanding needed on the body along the paint lines. However the nut on this neck was terrible. The guide slots were all machined the same size--extra large. Then it seems that someone recognized the error and re-machined the proper sized slots. So the nut looked like it had chunks taken out of it particularly where the to G, B and high E go. It made it difficult for me to properly file the slots. I did get slots the properly filed but decided, that to avoid any future problems, to order and installed a Tusq nut. Fortunately, the original nut came out without any problems and the Tusq was installed quickly. One would think that for $349.00 Fender quality control could have checked the neck over more carefully on final inspection. However, this neck plays great and feels great and the Tusq nut made it even better. Thus, only 4 stars.

I usually build my own necks but I've been hearing good things about Fender's necks. This is my first roasted maple neck and it is nice to look at and hold. The 12" radius and 22 fret combo are spot on. Frets were pretty close to exceptional. However, The one I received has a small defect on the face of the headstock between two tuning pegs. For the money, I expect there to be zero defects.

To say this is a beautiful neck is an understatement. The roasted maple has that perfect dark tan look. The fretwork was exceptional. Frets were ready to play out of the box. Fret end were smooth and out of the way. The front has that old school good that demands being played on. The rear has a satin finish that won’t impede your playing. It has truss rod adjustment at the headstock as I prefer. Overall fit and finish were perfect to my eyes. Slim C tapered neck is great for players lacking the finger length or sheer desire to play U shaped baseball bat necks.

Love the neck profile, love the fret size, love the satin feel on the back. Love the gloss finish on the front. Beautiful neck overall. I did have to have it pleked and the nut cut professionally. Hightly recommend!

Very impressed with this neck. Arrived quickly, and packaged very, very well. Bravo on that! The neck looks amazing, and has a satin finish on the back that is as smooth as silk. This neck went onto a Player's Series Fender Telecaster, and it dropped right in with a slight push on the heel side. Not super-crazy snug, but certainly not loose either. After re-setting the action and truss rod, the guitar plays perfectly. I didn't have to do a single bit of fret-leveling or polishing, which was very nice indeed. The neck also has a very pleasant smell to it, and very similar to a combination of a box of pencils and new furniture. lol. Dunno, my description may be off a tad there. Sound: there IS something about these roasted necks that creates a different tonal response. It is snarky and very snappy, yet full and round too. I am very impressed with this neck, and if I had other Fender teles in the stable, I would certainly upgrade the neck to another one of these. Try it man, you will NOT be disappointed. Highly recommended x100.
