Was a perfect fit. This is the second one since my son is very hard on beating the heck out of his mtn bikes.

It bent after some moderate trail use and a 7 layer rear cassette. Replaced it with a chrome-molly rear axle from a local bike shop which seems to be holding up. These axles are under a lot of stress with 7 rear sprockets as the increased depth of the sprocket set moves the bearing surface farther away from the attachment at the bike frame. If this axle bends I may consider going to a hub assembly that has the freewheel mounted it with separately mounted sprockets for 7+ rear sprockets. This will put the bearing surface closer to where the axle mounts to the frame and lessen the stress on the axle.

Hasnt bent yet! Mind you im a big dude about 390 right now. I used this to replace an axle on a schwinn taf from 2018. Its a little longer but thats not a problem. Its riding smooth right now.

Well over 185mm, I assume made for a space between forks id 185mm.I couldn't wait for another so I trimmed it with a hacksaw. Otherwise it worked like a charm.

I had high hopes for this rear axle. All my old washers and cones fit, which was good. However, it bent within the first mile of riding with it. The wheel was initially true, but after the axle bent, the wheel became misaligned. See attached picture. In fairness, I'm a bit of a porker at 280 lbs. However, your average rider over 200 lbs will probably be subjecting their bike to much more extreme forces than that.Don't forget to keep all your old washers, cones etc., because you'll probably need them for this axle, or any other. Good luck!
