I bout this regulator for 2003 Nissan Altima. Unfortunately motor on the regulator assy. is bad. Just to save time I had to by window motor separate and install it on the car. I am really pissed off ,because had to tear down window regulator several times and also complete diagnostic for a bad parts.

So when I got this, it took me awhile to figure out which way to set this up from up and down. Then sense it didn't come with the window holders, I had to use the old ones on my previous window regulator. But sense those are broken also I still have my window tape up cause only one side is held up with tape assisting holding it up also.

My 2003 Altima has the pinch protection on the driver side door window motor. You can verify this by removing the door panel and checking the electrical connection that goes to the window motor. If there are more than 2 wires, then you have that feature.The car has 203k miles on it, and the window motor was never replaced. The window motor moved slow, and it seemed one of the plastic clips on the tracks may have been broken, as sometimes the motor would move but the window would not physically move. This is why I decided to buy the entire regulator and motor together.After replacement, the window now rolls up and down smoothly, and much quicker than before. Money well spent.
