This rating is for the quality of the poker. It is very substantial poker. I wish it were longer. If you have a substantial fire burning as my does, he can't really get to close.

It’s small, shorter than a regular fireplace poker and light. That’s perfect for a solo stove or pit outside and it sticks upright in the ground easily from the point. Plus the price can’t be beat for something that lives outside!

I guess I had ordered the wrong size. It was very short and not really safe to use in the fire ring. Just make sure you order the correct size you really want.

I am using this poker for several things: one for stoking the fire and moving around firewood, but also, I am using it to poke in the salt pallet reservoir of our water softener. We have noticed that from time to time that our salt pellet tank creates a cave, if you will, and by poking it around the tank, we are breaking up the cave, and making sure that the salt pellets go down. It is working out well for our need.Pros: very sturdy, two piece set.Cons: nothing to note at this time.

Exactly what I needed. I use it when I car camp and it makes tending a fire so much easier, much better than finding a sturdy stick. Took another reviewer's advice and wrapped the handle with a bit of grippy tape for some comfort. Packs small and does what it needs to. I'd recommend something to keep the two pieces together for packing. I use two short strips of Velcro leftover from cable organizing. Haven't had any issues with the pieces separating during use but I did make sure to hand tighten it as much as I could when assembling.

Bought for our backyard firepit. Works great for moving logs around. Is sturdy and well made. Could maybe be a tiny bit longer, but it does the job for sure!

I got.this to use with my Solo Stove Ranger. It is a perfect fit. Not too big, not too small. My only suggestion is to put a coating on the handle for grip. Which you can do yourself if you want. It comes in 2 pieces and can be broken down and stored inside my Solo stove Ranger for transport..good value for what you get.
