I like the idea of a binder that will hold your important stuff and be durable and resist burning to a crisp. Obviously, I didn't test the fire part and can only trust what the seller says. The execution of the binder though is not good. Standard letter size paper doesn't fit in the pages, so who thought that was a good idea. I'm looking for something better designed.

I like how this made keeping all my important papers in one safe place. I would love a larger size for legal size papers, but it still works if I fold my papers.

This binder doesn’t look “bad”, but it definitely does not look great. Many reviews state that the inserts don’t fit, however, the ones that came with mine did. I would only say that regular 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper cannot fit inside the zippered pouches that come with the binder. That means that I will have to buy other inserts in order to fit full-size pages in, and I don’t know that those will fit. At this point, the binder works for what I purchased it for, which was to keep track of certain receipts and instruction booklets.

While I haven't tested the *fireproof* aspect, I do like this! There are plenty of files, in which I put our important paperwork (birth certificates, social security cards, etc.) in our safe. There's plenty of room/pockets for necessities, and the binder part unclips, so I was able to add some other page protectors for additional items.

I hope to goodness that I never have to find out if this document keeper is in fact fireproof. I’ve added our important documents to this organizer for extra protection inside our safe. It has several zipping plastic pockets so each person in our house has their own pocket. My only complaint this far is that the zipper isn’t great and sticks when it’s all the way unzipped. I can eventually get it zipped, but it does take some work - for this I deducted one star. I’m not 100% confident that this will be fire proof since the metal zipper teeth are held on with nylon taping and nylon is definitely not fire proof.Perhaps this summer I’ll remove important documents and test it in our outdoor fire pit. For now, it’ll stay in our safe and I’ll pray that our house never burns down.

And I’m unsure mainly because I’m not gonna set it on fire to test it it does seem waterproof although there’s a little place in the zipper where there’s a tiny opening that water could easily get in depending on where it’s sitting, but the majority of the cover of the binder is of a nice like water repellent material I wouldn’t let it soak underneath water for like a day but you know if you’re connected to the rain or if you spill a glass of water on it I think you’re probably safe as for fire I think fire could probably get a view of that little tiny hole. I think it would be better if you had some sort of fully locked mechanism to secure the bag however, I am going to keep my important items in it because I think it’s better than anything else I have it’s functional. It’s lightweight and it has like plastic cover folders inside attached to a D ring binder. keep your report files and then the nice thing is on the other side of the cover. It has like places where we can put credit cards or your Social Security card or even store some cash I think it’s a worthwhile purchase.

The inserts that came with this don't actually fit the zipper compartment. This arrived with the plastic inserts crumpled inside, which at first seemed to be a result of poor packing or maybe shipping, but if you try to straighten them out, they don't fit -- you have to sort of crumple them to get them to squeeze inside the zipper. The zipper itself seems very cheap and doesn't appear to be fireproof in any way -- by all appearances, it looks like the cheap zipper you find on many similar products that are not intended to protect things in a fire. That makes me wonder how effective this would actually be in the event of a fire. The outside folder itself does appear to be made of a thick material that very well could be fire resistant. I'm not sure I'd want to test it, though, and I think I'll go with a brand that has a track record and guarantee to back it up.
