I put this in the bridge position of a super-cheap Tele knock-off with a p90 in the neck. I think it gives me a nice, twangy quack in that guitar, close to what I'd expect from a good Tele bridge pickup, and it blends nicely with the p90 in the middle position. There's no provided wiring diagram, so I had to do some researching and guessing about which of the five wires went where. In my first wiring attempt, it was out of phase with the neck pickup. I do wish it had more complexity in the low-mids, maybe a bit warmer (I used a .022 cap on it--might do a higher value if I ever open it up again). Overall, I'm satisfied with the sound and quality for the price paid.

I'm very happy with this pickup for that price. To get a little better you would have to spend a lot more with the big brands. If you're on a good budget pickup don't go any further. It is very sensitive when adjusting the screws. Very easy to balance all the strings. I find it very similar to a Gibson PAF. The sound is also satisfactory when split, but of course it does not compete with a real single coil like any other humbucker. If I ever need a 9k alnico V humbucker again, I'll pick it up again. I'm now curious to hear the alnico II from the same brand.

I got these pickups for a budget build based on other reviews. They sound OK, and worth the price, but they came shipped loose in a bag and were missing a set of mounting screws and springs. The shipping bag oddly contained the empty, but not ripped, original packing bag that the pickups would have come in. They didn't look used and I had another set of screws and springs (needed to re-tap the holes), but it was not a big deal. Overall, just OK.

The humbucker is reasonably priced for an Alnico 2. It shipped very quickly and was well packaged. The humbucker has a really good, balanced sound. The tone has some growl to it, but it is subtle. It has a good classic type sound, which I think a lot of people are looking for.

Wasn’t sure when I bought this what it was gonna sound like. But I must admit ,as cheap as this pick up is it sounds extremely good . It has a very balanced output all the way from the lows to the highs .It has a nice rich response to it not blubbery , not squealy.. Sounds just as at home Reproducing Journey as it does Metallica... Most importantly it doesn’t have so much frequency response that itchanges the sound of the guitar. In other words this will sound very goodin a Les Paul style guitar without having a muddy bottom end ,and alsosounds good in a Stratocaster style guitar without having too thin of abottom end... I’m using 250 K pots. Which might be smoothing the tone out a little, but as I said the top end is still very smooth and linear..

These pickups are fantastic. Excellent tone and clarity. Standard 4 conductor wiring. I typically use Dimarzio or Seymour Duncans, these honestly rate up there with them. The bridge pickup has really nice definition and punch without being overly bright. The Neck pickup is clear without being too bassy.I would say the bridge is just the slightest bit under powered compared to the neck. 12k might be better BUT lowering the neck a tad evens things up and they do compliment each other well. I also always install the Yamaha Dry Circuit with Humbuckers and it sounds great with these making a very versatile combination.

Oh man, I've wanted to try alnico pups for a while but didn't want to pay $200 for Seymours. Gave these a shot, what the heck $20 - $30 is no big deal. Worth a shot. Hit the jackpot imo. The more I use these, the more I love them. There is something about them I can't explain properly. A certain nuance to the responsiveness to your picking I guess. They just sound musical, if that makes any sense. Maybe it's a compression thing? The previous pickups sounded fine tonewise but there is a certain stiffness to the sound that makes them sound lifeless. That's the best I can do to describe the difference. Just bending a note and listening to the sound of the note being bent or using vibrato on a sustained note. Maybe it's just a normal alnico thing vs ceramic, I don't know. I just love them. I find myself playing more and actually relishing the sound of each note and paying attention to my picking dynamics. Yeah, maybe the other pickups were just horrible and make these seem better (to me) than they really are. All I know is that I don't see myself swapping these out.As for the negative, eh maybe the lows are a little muddy and don't pack the punch that the previous pickups had. To me that's extremely minor and well worth the trade-off. Also, I play mostly clean or with light overdrive so I don't know how they fare in high gain situations.

This is an excellent pick up. I installed this on the bridge of my Epiphone LP100. I like it. Not harsh and good definition and clarity of the strings on overdrive and crunch. These are low output pups (8K) and Alnico II magnets. Planning to get another one for the neck. Value for money pick up with excellent tone!

I've used Fleor pickups in a number of guitars, mostly their hotrails mini humbuckers, and they sound nice and fat and work well with Blackstar (HT40 MkII), Marshall (JCM2000 DSL 50 watt head and 1960A 4x12 stereo cabinet) and Boogie (F50 and Triple Rectifier 150 watt half stack) tube amps, and through an Orange CR130, so that pretty much covers the amps we use on a regular basis, and we have line 6 and fender amps that I haven't tried them on. This particular set fell upon misfortune when a stripped mounting screw couldn't be removed and lost one of it's dog ears to the battle. Fortunately, I also wind some of my own pickups and have back plates in stock and was able to very easily remove the coils from the damaged backplate and transfer them to the new one, upgrading it to a larger AlNiCo 5 magnet bar in the process. It's still metering at 7.91k Ohms, and with a higher grade and stronger magnet bar, it should have more of a punchy, classic tone. Fleor are a good value for the money and I can't wait to hear this one. Also waiting for a set of their AlNiCo 5 PAF style humbuckers with the single wire conductor Gavitt wire for a Flying V project that should be interesting.
