FloodStop Leak Detector Controller Unit
FloodStop is a point-of-use leak detection device that automatically shuts off the water supply to an appliance or fixture the moment a leak is detected. Once water is detected, the motorized ball valves close and sound an alarm. FloodStop is a durable and multi-use device, which limits potentially devastating flood damage, allowing the plumber, builder, and homeowner to have peace-of-mind knowing no flood caused by an appliance or fixture will go unnoticed.
FloodStop's Control Unit is powered by an AC power supply (not included). Optionally, it may be powered with 4 AA batteries (not included). Batteries can also be used in conjunction with the AC power supply to provide backup power should AC power fail. Buttons on the front of the unit are easily accessible and illuminate to show status. All wired connections are different for easy installation. Sensor sensitivity can be adjusted at the control unit.

Like another reviewer here, I wrote and called the manufacturer about both this and a dual valve that failed after they were out of warranty and wanted some assurance I was not wasting my money on a product that fails frequently. Not a call, and never an answer to 3 emails. I worked at U.C. Berkeley and no matter the difficulty with students or parents I made every effort to talk to them directly and address their concerns and find a solution to problems. This company just doesn’t care about you the consumer. I ended up buying a competing manufacturer to satisfy my concerns. Buy these products at your own peril. A company that will not answer repeated help with their product deserves bad reviews and a shake up in their leadership. If I could, I would leave a fat goose egg or a 0 for their after purchase concerns.

This is a good product and worked well past warranty until one day it just kept alarming, trouble shooting on my own since could not get anyone at mfg to reply, I swapped out sensors, valves, until decided it was the unit so ordered this one and it works fine. I own 2 full units that are within 3 feet of another and only the one this replaced failed and still do not know why and again, cannot get any answers. Would order again realizing I am ony own if there is a problem.
