Sounds good with the 4.0. Not too loud but definitely more growly.

It's Flowmaster so you know it's top of the line. Gave my 2001 Jeep Cherokee a very awesome sound. It sounds almost like a V8 now and I love it. If you're thinking about getting this, just do it. You won't be disappointed

Flowmaster has always been #1 in its the industry. This Super 44 has a great rasp and throaty. Not quiet as loud as the 40 and not as deep as the super 40. I love it. If you’re considering it, go for it! You will be happy.. I’ve had them all and glad I went with the 44. Not sure if it really adds HP but it sure feels and sound strong as a beast! I got this Super 44 on my 4.0 Jeep Wrangler

Great product was delivered on time. I put this on my 98 Jeep xj and it sounds great it is very aggressive sounding but that is the sound I wanted so if you want a really aggressive muffler this thing is great I have had it in for about 3 months now still holding up and sounding great. Would definitely recommend this muffler especially for the price to it is a great value for money.

Replaced the original muffler on a 96’ XJ. The flomastet fit great and sounds great. I removed everything including the Cat from the rig, disassembled it and replaced the parts back on the truck. Aligned the Cat, flomaster and tailpipe. tacked it all up with the mig. Once I was sure everything was aligned and had clearance I removed it all again and securely welded it up. Only clamp is from head pipe to Cat. And that’s tacked just Incase. About 3 hours install. Sounds great, not loud but low rumble. Freeway to trail very happy with replacement. Suggestion. If your tooled up, air chisel, grinders, welder, pretty straight forward job. If not drop the $100 and let the muffler shop replace it. My only regret is I didn’t replace the Cat with a flomaster at the same time. I would also suggest weld the unit together. Off road vehicles high center a lot, hate to loose the exhaust assemble because a clamp failed. Quality of the muffler was as expected, excepltioal.

I love this muffler put it on my 2001 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 and the sound is amazing I have also noticed a performance increase feels like the jeep has more power and the ride is smoother my muffler was preety rusted out before and was stock. I love the bubbly throaty sound this thing gives at idle its quiet but you can still notice its there. It is not as agressive and loud as i thought but its loud when you need it to be and more quiet at lower rpms. If you love sound but want a more smooth and quiet engine rev but yet it still roars when you need it to. This muffler is for you.

This isn't really a muffler. Granted it was easy to install but its too gutteral and obnoxious even for me. I was really considering a super 10 but After one test drive I now know it would be best to get a 60 series. Great product, but just dissatisfied with the drone. Would not recommend for a commuter. Update:I did the test drive without the tailpipe. once I put that on the most beautiful sound erupted from the engine. my jeep sounds incredibly mean and there is noticeable drone at 1400-1600 rpm and 2500-2750. great buy. some modification to OEM tailpipe is not needed but I added about 3 inches to it.

This muffler has lasted for years. My old ones always tore open on rocks and deteriorated from the heat. This one seems to hold up to everything I can throw at it! I had a u joint blow at about 40mph 2 years ago and the driveshaft beat the muffler hard. It dented it but did not puncture (I still run it to this day) Even the mechanic at the muffler shop said “this is twice the muffler than the others”Sound:I have this on my 2.5L Wrangler and I feared that I would sound like a ricer with it, but it sounds nothing like that. It makes my Jeep louder and adds bass to the engine (I do have a few parts to my exhaust system removed to free up to flow, which makes it louder than usual). It likes to rumble on idle and picks up bass at about 2,000 RPM. It's loudest point is at about 2.5-3k RPM (most bass), then it starts to quiet down a little when you go up into high RPM.
