Works great. However the installation when replacing an indoor tank with this tank, outdoors is not for a casual tinkerer. I read reviews that it was a “piece of cake” it took a couple of us about 5 hours, not counting the trips to Home Depot.

Update 4 - No response from Fogatti since Sept 29. 43 days? Several times they made promises (in writing) to partially reimburse my installation cost. $200 maximum against the original install ($400) and replacement install ($400) I have lost $600 by originally purchasing their product. Even worse - They Don't Care.UPDATE 3 - NO RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER NO-SERVICE. LIES ABOUT REIMBURSEMENT FOR INSTALLATION COST.Fogatti will not respond to calls or emails. Case 1234009. After 2 mos of incomprehensible emails Fogatti will not respond after making promises to reimburse $400 installation cost on their defective unit. Had to repack defective unit and return to receive refund which they have completed. WORST EXPERIENCE IN HISTORY OF ANY SELLER ON AMAZON SINCE PRIME PROGRAM BEGAN. Spoke with multiple (12?) Different CS Reps. Emails which repeat previous discussions and impossible to follow directions. RUN AWAY. DO NOT PURCHASE. YOU DO NOT WANT THIS HEADACHE. COMPANY CLEARLY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.UPFATE 2 - RUN . YOU DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.Unbelievable struggles with Customer Service. People talking in background. CS Rep cannot find case number. Stumbles through emails.Seriously you Don't want to deal with the headache.Unit I purchased is defective. Shuts off on warm water setting. Ran up to 155 degrees with set point of 115. Request for replacement was going to take 2 weeks. Seriously...Who can wait 2 weeks for hot water? Requested refund. CS Rep had no idea how to process. Furthermore. Another CS Rep advised they would assist in completing my request for $400 fee to install unit. Buy a Rheem and avoid this trouble.Been a week since email and speaking to Customer Service. First off - CR Rep may have been new because he did not understand the problem with heater until approx 15 min of explanation.Problem is simple. If water flow at an appliance - shower valve - is less than 100 percent got - adjusting dial for Warm water - hot water flow shuts off for 5 min.Fogatti wants me to ship unit back and they will then send a replacement. No thank you. Who keeps the packaging after 4 mos? I'll be out of hot water for more than a week - and I'll be paying another $400 to install unit.My advice - stay with a name brand unit that has Techs to trouble shoot.Purchased large outdoor unit in May. Renovating an old farmhouse. Installed by Licenced Plumber. Works fine in 100 percent hot at mixing valve. But temper back hot water to have a "warm" shower and Hot water shuts off. Have contacted Customer Service for assistance. Will update based on resolution.

Fogatti customer service and tech support are awful. Amazon's support was AWESOME. We received the item as promised but installed it a couple months after receiving during a remodel project. Once installed, the heater would not operate with low-flow water faucets on sinks. The owners specs stated the item needed .6 gal/min to function. Our sinks are 1 gal/min flow. Heater would only operate when multiple sinks and showers were turned on. Contacted company for support. At first they were responsive. But didn't know how to help us. They didn't know if they have a technician in our area. Requested a replacement, service operator indicated that might not be possible but would submit the request. Then they went silent. We reached out via email for an update. Fogatti's response: "Thanks for reaching out to us. Your request has been updated." We finally resorted to contacting Amazon for help. Within minutes the Amazon customer support helped us with the problem, sent us a replacement water heater and arranged for the return of the defective product. The replacement heater works-but barely. I do not recommend purchasing a Fogatti on-demand water heater-defective products and ineffective customer support.Update 8/1/2023:This is to provide an update to the original review post. On 7/22/2023, Fogotti contacted us by email to follow up to our issue. To remedy the problem, Fogotti offered us a refund of our product. We accepted their offer and thank them for working to find a solution. Our second Fogotti water heater is now installed and is working properly. Thank you, Fogotti, for the total follow through in backing up your product and ensuring we are satisfied.

Initially I was recommended an outdoor model by an inexperienced contract plumber. Contacted tech support and what a breath of fresh air. In a timely manner, they replaced it with an indoor model because the location was inside the garage. Had a second bonded/insured competent plumber install with ease and working within minutes. Had to buy additional parts like the exhaust vent etcNevertheless, the indoor model works like a charm and the brand is unknown to the few plumbers I spoke with in my area. Customer service for Fogatti is World Class. I wish the rest of the customer service industry in America was like Fogatti’s.

It was quite easy to install with the instructions and watched a quick video online. It’s an outdoor unit that doesn't need vent pipe and is waterproof, that saves much time of installation and make it possible to install in the backyard close to sprinkler water. Just bought a service valve kit and a few gas pipes, connectors, and shutoff valve online and at local stores, then easily hooked it up in less than 30 minutes. One thing to remember thought, make sure to shut off your main gas valve to the house before installation for safety purpose and use gas Teflon tape for sealing the connectors. I also added an extra valve to the preinstalled gas pipe in the back yard, total 3 shutoff valves I used, as you can see in the pictures attached. Currently I only connected it to garden hose water and just a shower head for kids to take shower after swimming and shower pets in the garden, but I actually have a plan to set it up for my ADU (Accessory Dwelling Units) in the coming months. Overall, it’s a great purchase, has worked better than expected in past few weeks.
