Pros: The material is real steel. The whole set-up fits like a glove. Remember to the insert the inside edge all the way before pressing the back one. It looked really cool after installing. I was so happy to see the whole fitting that I glued the whole thing right away and was a happy camper right away…….. and that iswhereI went horribly wrong.Cons: I closed my trunk right away of a brand new, 7 days old 2025 hybrid Honda CRV Sports-l. Tried opening the trunk a few moment later and it won’t open. After endless panicky attempts, I almost thought of going to dealer. Then again thought of voided warranty and many more negative thoughts, I gave a final attempting to yank the trunk real hard after unlocking it, the whole trim panel glued to it came out. Being a hoarder, i had a metal snipper, I had to cut the portion that was blocking the latch since the thing is glued too strong to original panel and I didn’t want to damage it any further.In short, they need to work on the design around latching area. You should be able to see it in picture. For the price, this is a major flaw that can damage your vehicle. I wish they would refund me as I’m not in a position to return their item (as obvious, it would damage my car more if i try to remove it.) and I’ve really made trimmings on it to make my trunk functional again. Apart from this flaw, it’s a great, sturdy product. In addition, it came with missing latch cover piece.Hope this is helpful to people interested in something like this.
