I ordered this FINTANIX fountain pen with a fine nib. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this fountain pen, especially at this price point! I have been using this pen for journaling for about two weeks now, and it is so much fun to write with! This fountain pen is a really great value, and it is a great fountain pen for anyone who wants to write with a fountain pen. It is also a great alternative to disposable ball point pens that can't be refilled. People of all experience levels would enjoy using it! This fountain pen has a minimalist design, with an all black metal body, cap, and nib. It comes with a refillable ink converter which is located inside the pen when you first receive it. It also comes with instructions that are easy to follow and understand, a very nice pen sleeve, and 10 ink cartridges (5 black, 5 blue). The ink is good quality and is very nice to write with. The pen itself feels balanced and is very comfortable to hold and write with. The ink flows very well and the pen writes very smoothly. It is very easy and quick to take this pen apart and replace ink cartridges. I have had ZERO issues/problems with this pen. This pen pen would also make a great gift to anyone who loves fountain pens and/or writing!

I haven't used a fountain pen in many years and decided to try this one. It is made of high quality aluminum. That is the only positive I can report. I tried to install the ink cartridge six times and could not get it to work. i followed the enclosed instructions to the letter. The cartridge would not fit the connector above the nib. I pushed it as hard as i could and it would not fit into the connector. the instructions were simple, the installation, not so. Very disappointed!

I have a nice collection of fountain pens, and I have a good number of inexpensive pens as well as higher-priced pens. One of the things I have learned about them is that the price does not necessarily dictate the quality. I have several inexpensive pens that rival (and in some cases exceed) the quality and performance of pens that cost ten times as much. This is one such pen. This is an all-black pen. The barrel, the grip, the clip, and even the nib are all black without a trace of other colors. The only variation in this pen is that the grip and trim are glossy while the barrel and cap are almost completely all matte finish. If you want a pen that does not draw attention to itself, this one most definitely meets that requirement. The pen has a converter in the barrel already, and included with the pen are 10 ink cartridges, 5 in black and 5 in blue. There’s also a leather-like pen sleeve. This pen is all metal, and it has a slight bit of heft to it. It isn’t heavy, though. What I particularly like is that the pen is almost perfectly balanced, regardless of whether the cap is on, off, or posted. This is actually a bit unusual; most pens I have are not quite balanced in one of those three cases.Posting the cap is particularly pleasant, but for an unusual reason. It fits very snugly on the butt of the pen, and it absolutely will not fall off or shake loose. When it is removed from being posted, though, it makes a very satisfying pop sound. It also makes a nice, loud click when snapped back on the pen.I have the F nib version. When writing, it is smoother than most other F nib pens I have used, though it is not glassy or perfectly smooth. It lays down a nice line of ink and so far it has proven to be reliable – no skips, globs, burps, or hard starts.I am very pleased with this pen. It is not expensive, but it performs very well, it’s nicely balanced, and the cap posts very securely. The inclusion of the sleeve is a nice bonus.

This fountain pen looks, feels, and writes great. It's got a very consistent flow of ink to the paper, and it's heavy enough to feel high-quality, but not so heavy that it becomes uncomfortable to hold. The package also generously includes a protective sheath and no less than ten ink cartridges, as well as a converter. I do wish I'd gotten the ultra fine point (since the free-flowing nature of fountain pens tends to create thicker lines) but that was my fault; I literally just clicked the wrong button. The only thing I take issue with is the instructions that tell you to stand the pen upside down for three minutes after inserting a cartridge. DO NOT DO THIS. It will result in a ton of ink pooling in the cap, or on whatever surface the nib is in contact with, which creates a huge mess. Just hold it upside down over a piece of paper with the cap off for no more than a few seconds, then try writing. It won't take long for the ink to get flowing.

First, this should go without saying but you have to temper your expectations a bit when trying a sub-$20 fountain pen. I love fountain pens and have about a dozen of them ranging from inexpensive staples like the Lamy Safari to a Montblanc Meisterstuck 149. This fountain pen is currently retailing for $16.99, about half the MSRP of a mostly plastic Safari. The Good...- All metal construction has a nice weight to it but is not too heavy- Decent nib with iridium tip- Comes with protective sleeve, converter and 10 ink cartridges (5 blue, 5 black)- It's cheap!- It writes wellThe Bad...- Pen cap is a friction fit not screw on and I worry it will loosen over time causing ink to dry out- Clip seems like a Parker copy... I don't like this clip design even on a Parker and don't think it goes with the 'modern' design of the pen- Barrel is too thin for my personal preference- Nib is "Fine" but writes more like a "Medium-Fine" or "Medium" to me, it lays down pretty thick linesOverall, if you like the design of this fountain pen, you will probably be very happy with it for $16.99 or less. It looks nice, writes well, and comes with plenty of ink cartridges to get you started, but includes a converter so you can refill it with your favorite inks. It's pretty impressive for the price.
