This was a drop fit for my RIDGID subcompact saw. I used it to cut out some floor pans from a car I am restoring. I can say that it does throw less sparks than the cutoff discs I was using in my angle grinder. As far as speed goes, it seems on par with the typical cutoff discs. I had problems with the blade binding and stopping the saw, requiring a reset of the battery. I found that the best way to use it is to get the blade up to speed and then drop it onto the metal, and don't push too fast. This may be more of an issue with the power of my saw than this blade, but I think most subcompact saws aren't that powerful. The small size of this blade makes it less suitable for getting into tight spots (ironically), because the blade doesn't protrude from the saw much, maybe 3/4 to 1 inch, so if you're trying to get the blade into a corner, it just doesn't stick out far enough to engage the metal before the saw body limits the travel. I think this is probably better suited to cutting flat sheet steel like metal roofing, sheet stock or small diameter steel rods or straight stock, and not so much for demolition/body work. If they make a 4.5" version, I will buy it for my angle grinder. I like that it throws less spark, and if it really does hold up to 5000 cuts (of what length?), it will be far more cost effective than the grinding discs are.

I have a variety of blades for my Kobalt saw and some of them don't fit quite a nicely as this one. The center hole tends to vary in size, but this one is just big enough to fit in place and there are no issues centering the blade. At any rate, the sawing and performance of the blade is a little more important, and this blade did pretty well there too. I haven't used it for too many tough jobs yet, but it cut as expected and didn't seem to be any worse for the wear. So far, very pleased with this blade. If I notice that it loses it's cutting ability or if it wears prematurely, I will come back and update the review. (If you don't see any updates,it means it's working as expected.)Overall, I am pleased with this purchase and would order again from this brand.

This blade is smaller than I expected, but cuts like a champ. I am very impressed with this blade.!

Great little cutter wheel. I used this in my grinder to cut some tile and it worked well. I would not use this to cut materials thicker than 3/4” but otherwise, I’d recommend this product.

The first and only use I put this blade through was cutting and grinding out a crack in a trailer frame for welding. The cut was approximately 3/8" deep and about 1/4" across.I'm not sure if it was my own warped perception or the wheel was cutting a lot slower towards the end. The steel didn't blue at all until I was finishing up the cut.It feels like it still has grit on the wheel, but I can't account for why it just seemed like it lost bite. I was using this on a Milwaukee M12 3" cut off tool.It did cut aggressively at first as I still got grit in my eye even with safety glasses on. It did bind the cutter a bit more than I expected. It didn't thermal anything, but it did hit an overdraw condition a couple times.

This is smaller than I was meaning to buy but I can use it too. Very well made saw blade. I have no doubts that this is going to be a good blade with many cuts ahead of it. Cheap, looks great, and you can tell from the edges that it's going to cut through anything you needed to without much problems

I tend to destroy blades on my small cutoff wheel and these lasted a good while! Nice blade I've always liked stuff from fox!

I've been trying various diamond coated cut off wheels lately. I recently tried some 4.5" wheels for my angle grinder and found them to be a good choice for light cuts in small parts and sheet metal due to their cool running nature with less sparks. The FOXBC 4.5" seemed high quality, so when I saw these pop up for my cutoff tool, I grabbed them. The quality I have seen across a few BOXBC wheels has been consistent and that is good. These work well and are affordable. They are slower than standard abrasive cut off disks, but they are cooler and make less sparks and dust, with an almost mechanical quality due to the stiffness which I like for making cuts in sheet metal. I will probably keep trying others, but this brand seems worth keeping around.
