I LOVE THIS! We had got a new puppy and we were very nervous about potty training. My friend recommended this to us! I looked up videos online when we received it on how to properly train using this item. Our pup got it down in minutes and uses it’s still to notify us when he has got to go potty! We love it!

This has been a helpful tool in potty training my pups. The only down fall I would say is it does get knocked off the door knob easily.

Perfect for my puppy. I trained her to use it to let me know when she has to go. She picked it up very quickly.I first had to teach her how to ring itSo I held it with my hand and used treats for her to move her head forward and ring it while grabbing the treat. Once she got that down.I used a hook on the wall near the door for her. Don’t put it on the door or your dog will get confused whenPeople go in and out.I then associated the bell with the word potty and rang it everything I let her out. From tjere she picked it up quick and rings it herself now to let me know she wants to go out.Cons: i wish it came in a two pack so I could put one outside so she can let me know when she’sReady to come back in instead of swatting at the screen door. She is 3 months going on 4 Great Dane and picked it up on 2 days time.

I rescued a 3 month old "black golden" a week ago. He seems to understand going potty but did not know how to communicate this to me (he needed to train-the-trainer). This was put on my door 24 hours ago and each time since when I take him out I say "go potty" and swipe his paw on the bells. He used it once last evening and twice this morning. I cannot be sure if he is truly telling me to take him potty but I have responded to it each time by taking him out, with great success on his part. So hopefully this is a tool that will work as we learn his routine - I just need to remember to use my ears to hear the bells!

I am happy with my doggie door bells, but to date, my 6 month old pup is afraid of them. I can't get him to slap at them to make them ring and using his nose is difficult since he is a Shih Tzu. But we keep trying each time we go out the door. I think they might be easier for a little bigger dog to use maybe. The sturdiness of the bells is fine.

Our 11 week old Scotch Collie is doing great with the bells for potty training. We just would ring the bells hung on the door every time we took him out last week. This week he has now started going to the door by himself and runs his nose all over them to ring, then runs out to do his business. I had been told by co-workers that it's easy to train them but wasn't sure. I'm very happy with them. It's a basic design with adjustable length and bells attached, but does the job perfectly.

We were told that our 3 year old rescue dog was bell trained- something I had never heard of. So we purchased these bells and he used them- no training required. The reason my rating is only 4 stars is because I can't evaluate the training system. There is a snap so we could easily hang the bells on the handle of our sliding glass door that leads onto the deck. Our dog goes up to the bells and pokes them with his nose or paws at them when he wants to go outside. His motivation is not always for potty- sometimes he just wants to be outside. He is pretty gentle with his poking and I can still hear the bells. It's a pleasant sound- jingle bells. I'm glad we made this purchase.

This is a great tool for training your puppy or dog to go outside to do their business. I started taking our husky's paw and rang the bell everytime I took her outside to potty. She started ringing it by herself when she needed to go out! It has been great and I highly recommend it. It has been durable too. She has huge paws and is very strong and it has held up to her pawing at it several times a day.
