Drive shaft has definitely been installed and used before. It is all rusty and scratched up where the mounting bolts go. Also the velocity joint has play in it. What a major disappointment. I paid for a new part not a used and returned one

Even though it was supposed to fit my 2000 Mercury Mountaineer AWD, it was very obviously too long.
