Unlike other reviews, my skid plate came with washers and weatherstripping to prevent any rattling. However the bolts supplied were nothing enough so I had to make a trip to the hardware store.

My DRZ is up in the shop for the winter and this was easy to put on and I'm super happy with the way that it looks. Can't wait for the spring time to come so I can get out in the mud and dirt and test it out. Give it some dents like it deserves!

This skid plate fit as described with no modifications necessary. the only thing i changed is there were no supplied washers for the bolt head so i added some and i also used one longer bolt for the highest bolt just to make my life easier. said and done i'd buy another one!

The installation was annoying. The provided bolts weren't long enough to be used and I had to supply my own washers. There was also an annoying vibration at high rpms that I was able to cure by putting a piece of weather stripping between the frame tube and skid place. Overall if it holds up ill be happy with it

I ordered a blue one to match my bike perfectly, I received a silver one, sent it back to exchange for a blue one, went to exchange again and the only choice is silver or red. Not saying the product is bad but I truly wanted the color that I ordered, ended up going on a 2 week off road trip without a bash plate waiting on it.

I ordered the blue anodized and got plain. Made of aluminum not stainless steel as described. Okay quality? Bolt holes lined up. Nice welds. Comes with four spacers that go between the plate and the frame mounts. Had to glue the spacers in place first. There are 4 bowl shaped depressions in the plate where the mounting holes are. There is no flat surface for the hex bolts to seat on in the bottom of the depressions. (flat hex head against concave surface) Installed lock washers and and flat washers on hex bolts and let the flat washers form to the depression and head of the bolt. Then the bolt heads protruded enough that they would be damaged or broken off when contact is made with the terrain. Got some tapered Pan Head Phillips Screws and will update when I try those. Good attempt, poor attention to detail. Get what you pay for eh?Had to form concave washers to match the pan head screws and use a healthy dose of loc-tite. Screws are now flush. Emits a short vibration sound. Will experiment with rubber dampers.
