These are a normal wear item on these bikes. They eventually wear to the point that you get slop in the suspension. If you let them go too long without lubrication, they can break into pieces and fall out. I keep mine greased and they last a long time. I have a eight year old bike that I will put these in soon. They are getting a little sloppy and I am pleased to have these as a replacement. I expect these to last as well as the OEM and it should make it feel like new again. I have replaced many sets of these with various Polaris over the last 20 years and these are just what I want. I will clean up the metal hardware with a wire wheel and put some grease on it and put it back together.
