So far so good! I followed the instructions and they all came out perfectly. I filled the tub about 1/3 of HOT water, let them soak there for a little bit. When I got the water out, I made sure not to squeeze them too hard and I rolled them following their natural lines to avoid any weird wrinkles. the I put them in the dryer for 30 minutes, mind you, some of them might still be a little moist after a day or so. I just noticed that today but I threw them back in the dryer and I hope that does the trick. Now off to install them!

Bon produit. Malgré le colis bien serré et sous vide les plaques reprennent une forme très convenable après avoir respecté la notice.. personnellement j'ai imbibé les plaques d'eau, je les ai essoré et mis au sèche-linge en mode délicat. Le résultat est nickel.

Horrible product!!! Definetly not what I ordered... these are barely 1" let alone the 2"x12" panel that I ordered. Garbage excuse for sound proofing... This is not real sound proofing... it is look alike.. The fact that you need to wet and dry is horrible. DO NOT BUY

Perfect for absorbing sound. Only issue I have is with unpackaging it. The directions say to essentially throw it in the washer and dryer but sometimes little foam chunks fall off afterwards.

Awesome product works better than i thought it might. I built a shop vac cabinet for my CNC routers, to try to quiet down the sound of the shop vac; nothing is more annoying than the sound of a vacuum cleaner running the whole time your routers are running lol. Figuring the sound would really echo inside of the cabinet and turn it into a speaker so i bought these in anticipation of that. Sure enough once i had it done i was getting >85 dB, but once I lined the inside of the cabinet with the panels the sound dropped to >60 which is hardly noticeable over the rest of the tools. I do wish the adhesive was a bit stronger, but once you have pressed it firmly into place (maybe roll it out) i think it will be fine. I'll be buying more for sure

Most tiles like this around this price & quantity are sponge like cell foam. At 2'' they do a good job of stopping echoes or unwanted higher frequency sound. Very good at trapping sound for improving web casts voices in mic frequencies. What I received were more black than grey & uniform in color between different packages. U will have to soak in water & dry them in order to expand to 2 inches if U need them to look normal.

Pictures above show what they're like before and after letting them expand for a few days.Pro's:-9 of 12 expanded.-the ones that work are fluffy and look nice-there's not much of an echo anymoreCon's:-3 of 12 were defective-they're not the same size, not 2" thick, as advertised-they don't sound proof, as advertised, you'd probably have to cover the whole wall and feel like you're living in a padded cell so you might as well fork out the funds for sound proofing panels that look nicerIn all: I like them for now, they are good enough until I can get something nicer. They do remove the echo in the new place. They're really not worth their price, though. You could easily buy some foam and use double sided sticky tape for a lot cheaper and more efficiently.

Not gonna lie, I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews. Product arrived in good condition. I used the water method and threw them in the dryer on low heat, then set them out to air-dry for a day. All pieces expanded uniformly and looked great. The hardest part was installation. Tried spray adhesive and then double-sided tape but pieces came off by the next day. Finally installed successfully, applying a dab of Gorilla Glue to the remaining strips of double-sided tape. Looks and sounds great in my drum room!

I read several reviews and was almost thrown off by the statements that the acoustic panels did not expand fully. Instead, I opted to get 3 different products to play it safe and ended up liking this one the most... though expansion is something you have to plan for. When you get the product, it is vacuum sealed, so they are flat to start and need time to expand. I opened the package, laid the panels out and let it sit over night. Some looked good, some looked deformed with only parts expanding. As I had time and I really liked the ones that had expanded, I played around with them.Given time, they should all expand, but it's a dense foam and sometimes a little help is needed. For one that just wouldn't budge, I wet down the side that was not expanding and let it sit for a day or so. Popped right out.Bottom lineIf you have some flexibility, the product was the best at reducing noise of the ones I ordered, the best value, and very easy to work with once they were expanded. That said, if you are in a hurry or don't have the space to lay out the panels so they can expand, you may want to consider other products or buy spare packages.

Overall, I am quite impressed by the quality. Definitely wash them, wring them out, and let them dry. This will definitely speed up the expansion process when you take them out of the package (also eliminate that chemical smell...if any)A decent size, and cool pattern for any home or professional studio. I noticed a huge difference in my audio after placing these on my wall. That being said, I didn’t stick this directly to my wall, instead I used an adhesive and applied it to a board, and hung it on my wall. Worked all the same.Definitely a good investment. Highly satisfied.
